mattarios2
Since i've switched over to aluminum foil (mainly b/c i use a phunnel now and a screen doesn't fit) my throat gets dry really quickly and no matter if I drink something or suck on a halls, i can't seem to get my throat wet. And it makes my smoke session quite unenjoyable.Could it be the tinfoil? During the day my throat is fine so I know its not a cold or anything, but since switching to the tinfoil its killing my throat.Anyone else have this problem? Thanks
r1v3th3ad
it could be the type of foil you are using, or maybe the heat management. Also, using same shisha? Trying different ones?

Also, using same shisha? Trying different ones?I am using reynolds aluminum heavy duty foil, the smoke rips great, doesn't burn or taste harsh, and goes for about 2 hours. I rotate coals every 7-10 minutes, And i am using the same shisha as previously. Any other ideas?
r1v3th3ad
well, right now, all I can think of is that either a. its the way you are packing the shisha or b. you need to switch shisha, it might not like the phunnelI have had sessions where my throat gets real dry, once in a blue moon. More so when I use the foil phunnel...only thing I can think of elsewise is that its burning the tobacco till its dead, but the gooey juices are in the bottom of the bowl still, so you are getting a flavored smoke still. MechAnt
I think you're just smoking too long. It'll cause that. Just sip something the entire duration of the session and it should be just fine.
EternalSoil
one flavor does that with me but not so much as i cant wet my throat.K-Peach does it a little but a drink to sip on fixes it right away no problem.I would also suggest that you might be burning it...I don't think the foil would have that large of an effect of the way your throat feels. So I believe that rules out the phunnel idea. And the idea of burning the baccy till its dead can't be it b/c right off the bat, first nice pull I get my throat gets dry, there is no way the baccy burns up in 1 rip.So any other ideas? peterjmag
Try some cheap, grocery store brand foil. Some of the more expensive stuff might be coated with more (or different) chemicals, which may be drying you out.
