Snoopy1966
OK, I really do not know to much about the new TV's and home sound systems. I want to get a decent size flat screen and a good sound system that is reasonable in price. Any brands better for both, any ideas for me? I was thinking on going to a few electronic places here and I want to have some sort of an idea before I go check some out. Can I get something decent for around $3500? AKammenzind
I'm no expert on home entertainment systems, but look through all the TV's and sound systems they have on Newegg.com to give you an idea of cost (it'll be more expensive in stores, but probably cheaper once you factor in shipping for a huge screen ). There are tons of good reviews/ratings to look at, so you'll be able to get a feel for what brands/types are good bang for the buck. I took a quick look and for $3500 it looks like you could get quite a nice setup.

Snoopy1966
Cool. I was think Bose for a sound system. The TV definitely needs to be able to handle video games also. It will be cool to play Brawl on that! Tomorrow I get my copy!!!! Finally after many delays by Nintendo. I kinda want the get it now factor and have them deliver it because all I have is a little ZX2 for a car. I will have to see what kind of prices the stores have and compare to having it sent. I just worry about a TV being handled by UPS or FedEx and of course the sound system.Holy crap! I just looked at Best Buy for that sound system and they want 1000 bucks more and only available on line. I see what you mean now.

Stinkyfisherman
DO NOT GO BOSE!!! They are way over priced and the sound quality is lacking tremendously. If I was gonna suggest anything to you go with the Klipsch: Synergy Series Quintet III. They are amazing you'll still need to get a sub and a receiver to power it all but it well we worth it. It will blow away a Bose system any day of the year. And it’s a lil cheaper. Here’s a link to them Quintet III it says 500 but I know you can get them for much cheaper. The TV for LCD go Samsung or Sony for plasma go Pioneer or Panasonic. Gaming is gonna be better on a LCD it’s a brighter picture your just have to be careful about size because you'll start to get lag. Oh, and dont go DLP if you play video games you'll get major lag. zeppyrkr
bose is overpriced but its just a nice all in one set up with out the hassle of a giant receiver and stuff i cant complain about ours, sounds amazing ... its just an easy option, other options will include intensive research and countless options and matching to find whats perfect for you which in the long run will give you a better sounding system
