chinamon Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 lolim pretty sure in your country, if you are bringing back something and you dont declare it then it is called smuggling.you can smuggle all you want. bring 50 suitcases and fill them all up with shisha and just hope you dont get caught!for US residents returning to the USA, any trip -- 10 cigar (non-cuban) allowance.over 48 hours -- 1 carton (200 cigarettes) and 100 cigars (non-cuban) allowance.for Canadian residents returning to Canada,after 24 hours -- none.after 48 hours -- 1 carton (200 cigarettes), 50 cigars, 200 grams of tobacco and 200 tobacco sticks.these are the duty-free allowance. if you are bringing anything over your allowance then it is your duty to declare it with customs and pay the appropriate duties. Just don't bring any liquids or anything flammable (ie, coals).I actually envy you... last year I flew 13 times, this year just 2 times so far but summer's coming soon. I just checked the entire TSA website and did a search for "tobacco". No where on the entire site did it regulate quantities of tobacco. You just can't bring QLs or lighters. Natural coals should be cool I think to get by TSA. I just hope I can find some sort of bag to put my Hookah in with all my goodies and still be able to take it as a carry on. You can, however, lighten your load by mailing home your dirty clothes, as long as they were made in the United States and haven't been altered.
