Tangiers.....

Recommended Posts

I've read posts about people having problems with tangiers, all the special work you need to do with it, hours of acclimation, special bowl *never did understand why*

it's supposed to be very expensive, but supposedly its one of the best flavors, thickest smoke

my question is...

With all that extra work, the extra cost, the bowls, the acclimation

Is It Really Worth it?!

I smoke pharoah, and the occasional AF, dont go through all that trouble and have a very good smoke.

is this stuff really THAT good?

Extra Work - Acclimation and packing.. Once you follow some of the guides it shouldnt be that hard. And normally once you get it good the first time the rest are easy to pack.

Extra Cost - Theres not really that much extra cost. The Phunnel bowl is my best bowl i'v used, every brand smokes great.

Tangiers is only $12 bucks compared to SB/Tonic/Fusion ($20)..

Is it really worth it? - YES! The Flavor is AMAzing! And you can smoke the same bowl multiple times.. (saving shisha biggrin.gif)

Hope I covered most of what you asked..

i think the kashmir peach is decent, but i do think tangiers is overrated on this forum. everytime someone posts about a problem with tangiers they get told that they packed the bowl wrong, didn`t acclimate enough etc.

personal preference.

Many people have trouble with it.

once you get it it's awesome!

there is a reason some of us like canon and myself only smoke tangiers anymore....

cause any other flavor gives me a headache. tonic and AF being the worse

I love the smoke and the buzz. Clouds are SIMILAR to starbuzz/tonic. but they are not the same. The buzz is legit, but if your not willing to put in the extra work just for those features, then its not worth it.

Personal preference. I wanted something to mess me up, and Tangiers does it

Yes, it's worth it. Buying a bowl one time (assuming you don't break it). Also, the bowl makes all other shishas smoke better and longer as well... so that's that.

acclimation - 4 hours to sit out, so just smoke a different bowl while you do that. not like you have to sit there and stare at it for 4 hours... go watch a movie or something.

The only trouble i can think of is the coals and packing it. You just need to buy more coals and it's not amazing unless you pack it right, but after a little time practicing you get the hang of it and then it just kicks ass.

Repeat: Yes, it's worth it.

if you want to do a raindance, hop on one foot, touch your nose, brush your teeth, blink 45 times with your left eye lid and try to eat your ear all at the same time, sure why not?

If you wanna have everything easy, buy an easy shisha like Starbuzz or AF or AW and smoke that. You dont have to smoke Tangiers. Hell, go to the hookah bar and pay 12 bucks for a half-assed hookah session. Be my guest. If you wanna put the time and effort into having a nice smoke with a hell of a relaxing effect, work with Tangiers. IMO, it's worth it.

Over the past six months, I've bought numerous flavors of Tangiers. Too many times I attempted to enjoy them but my sessions became harsh. Just when I planned to give up, I had a bowl of Tangiers blueberry tonight. I had it acclimating for several hours before I smoked it. I packed it just as everyone suggested on the forum...and...it was worth it.

I packed the tobacco slightly above the rim of a medium phunnel bowl, foiled it, pressed down slightly, draw it taught, punched three rinkgs of holes and an additional center hole and topped it with two 1/3 pieces of Exoctica coal. It smoked awesomely! If it weren't for me ending the session after an hour, I could've enjoyed it for at least 30 more minutes (which I noticed when I cleaned my bowl out afterward).
