EricDub
I just got a new medium phunnel and i read plenty about packing them with tangiers but when just packing it with say, some AF how should i pack it? should i pack it loosely or pack it down like tangiers? I got the black/antique blue. im pretty happy with it but i would rather have a brighter color. picture attached
austinthecity
no mod: about the same consistency as tangier, but less shisha. you want the shisha below the foil. you might need a little more heatmod: pack it around the mod and either below foil or foil level.i prefer mod -> more taste and less shisha for smaller sessions
iamscott06
Is that the small Phunnel? And you dont really have to pack the stuff in there hard like Tangiers.. Pack up to the rim but not so the foil is touching. As for hole placement.. usually I just do a row on the outside and then a decent sized hole right in the middle. Works great everytime
sars
With AF I do a light pack and end it a little bit before the rim so none of it touches the foil.
racemyghost
when i pack AF with my phunnel, i pack all the way up to the brim of the center phunnel. Make sure to mix the shisha well before packing. Fluff the tobacco and sprinkle it in. Then gently press down on the shisha (gently!). Wrap the foil tight. I make about 3 - 4 rings, small holes but many! And i do not use a mod.Charcoal, if you're using jap. coals, you'll need 4. One on each corner. Naturals, about 1" pieces, 3 of them, shape it like a triangle on the bowl. Patzke
QUOTE (EternalSoil @ Mar 12 2008, 09:16 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>what is this "pack it down like tangiers" crap?!?!I pack mine exactly like i pack tangiers..Which is not "packed down"BAHAHAHAH i'm with you on this one, EternalSoil.I feel there is no right or wrong. Theres no science to it. I get great smoke everytime, heres the procedure:Have a washed, clean hookah.Get your phunnel bowlput shisha in it,foil, coal,if it doesn't smokeput more coalstake the coal off if it burns. I think everyone makes it a little more complicated than it really is...
iamscott06
+1 to what Patzke said! I was going to say something earlier.. Pack ShishaFoilCoal Smoke!!Its hard to have bad smokes out of the phunnel.
MechAnt
Like everyone says, don't stress too much over how it's packed. Non Tangiers smokes best when packed a bit under the rim like any other bowl. Just take it from the packaging and drop it in leaving it at the same compression as it was in the package.
staygone
The picture I posted was the PERFECTLY packed phunnel bowl. All else fails.-QM

MechAnt
Codename, you are in for a wild ride! Blueberry is one of the best Tangiers and in the phunnel, it's only that much better.
