Cerritus
I'm buying parts to make these for a few friends and was wondering if anyone would want to buy one for around $30.
mitchell8621
how much shisha does that bowl hold?
Cerritus
It holds a lot. I haven't filled it all the way yet but it would last for a few hours with decent heat management. The half bowl I'm smoking now has been going for about 2 hours and it's almost out. Oh, and it smokes very well, especially for such a small hookah. anathema
you can get a two-hole rubber stopper with just a regular 1L erlenmeyer flask for 15 dollars. get some rubber tubing and a plastic mouthpiece and you're good to go.edit: just noticed the glass funnel, maybe get a smaller one? so it doens't look like it's going to tip over Edited March 12, 2008 by anathema
Cerritus
I know, but it looked off balance that way. The stem wasn't centered. And that was the only funnel in the chem stockroom When I order parts for myself I'll look for smaller ones.

gaia.plateau
And for what looks like about $5 of parts. You can make a better home made hookah in much less time with two soda bottles, a soda can, and a bit of tubing.
Cerritus
Ok here's a price list for those who seem to think that around $30 was wrong. I haven't looked around for the best prices yet so this is a rough estimate but fairly close.vaccum filter flask-$5-8Glass funnel-$3-4Stopper= ~$1tubing for hose and downspout- $2Shipping to get those parts will depend on if anyone else wants one but will be split with a few friends of mine who want these. So figure $2-3 for that and then $7-12 for shipping to you (seems to be what I always pay to ship anything fedex when I buy online). So at the high end of the estimate there is $30 for parts and shipping. As for one made of plastic bottles being better, I've made both and there's no contest. And this one isn't thrown out after a few uses.It seems to me that you assumed I was trying to make some huge profit here. I'm not. I was trying to be nice and offer this forum something back. Reading things here has helped me build my other hookah and a lot of people saw a video of one of these hookahs in a post a while back (not mine, go search for it) and said they wanted one. erufiku
A bit off-topic but it looks like something out of a hospital. Perfect for those moments when you just have to have some shisha regardless of place ;D
Cerritus
The supplies came straight out of a chem lab where a friend of mine works.
