MechAnt
I was reading some headlines on BBC and something caught my eye.The UK is gonna be putting up an even higher tax on alcohol. Not a good day for the brits. Especially JD. We all know how much he likes his whiskey. What does everyone think? Will this improve anything? Will it provide any benefit? Will it hurt many? MechAnt
I'm starting to sense a little bit of a Prohibition style thing going on. History has proved it ineffective. Looking at this from an Economic angle, this'll have the black market flourish. I really don't see this as a good thing. Newcastle is gonna be more expensive for us? I hope not

Texico
mmm scotch. My father started me on that stuff before I was legal to drink. In fact, I'm still not the legal drinking age, but my parents are my suppliers.JD, when I turn 21 I will send booze to you free of charge if it comes to it. Access to alcohol is a right that every man should enjoy. I personally like tequila at the moment, though. Sauza anejo is amazing stuff. "Hoorah!" for genetic engineering to make the perfect tequila every time.

mathuv
hmmm well i personally think the price raises will do fuck all, i mean, with all due respect theyre not even that much anyway..just another tax for the people's pockets. in malta, to discourage binge drinking, shops without a bar lisence (i.e all shops without tables and chairs) are not permitted to sell alcohol to anyone after 9pm. i have noticed much less drunk people around the street though, who'd have thought it would work.. but i know this shouldnt be considered in britain, with the amount of off licenses
