MaxT0
question for all you hookah experts...I have a single hose egyptian hookah that I bought from social smoke about 4 years ago (don't remember if it has a name, medium size I think). It smokes alright, although the little metal ball in the purge has rusted and I can't take it out, lol.I was thinking that maybe it's time to upgrade and the KM trimetal looks nice, however, I'm wondering if I'd notice any difference between the two? Do you think it's $100 spent well? Thanks in advance!
ahwahoo2006
I would say yes - KM makes fantastic pipes. You should also look into MYA and MZ.
Stuie
Absolutely! I had the pleasure of smoking a KM yesterday, it was great, only down side is they don't make multihoses. If they did I would buy one today!
oolatec
Honestly, I doubt it, as far as much difference between brands. Possibly because your pipe is 4 years old however. Social Smoke's Egyptians are Magdy Zidans, which are also really great pipes.
Canon
trimetal is my favorite pipe out of 5.
SimplexCoda
It's always worth an upgrade. I dont know anything about the Tri-Metal. I am expecting my Mash'al to be delivered today, so expect full details about it tonight. Like I say I dont know about the Tri-Metal, but I can say that if you get a KM you should check to make sure the down stem is nickel plated because that helps prevent corrosion. waterboi
I say you cant go wrong with a KM. I have the Hafa and it smokes wonderful.
frish423
i've got the hafa and the tri-metal and i think both work great and have never failed in a smoke, i recommend the tri-metal
Scoop
if your hookah is clean and has no leaks, youll notice very little difference.worth it is a very subjective term. was it worth it for me to buy an mz even though i have plenty of hookahs, probably not. but i really wanted one lol
Switch
most hookahs will smoke amazing when you get them. But if you get a more expensive pipe, you will be able to have it for longer due to the fact that it wont corrode. I love the mya pipes, the purge isnt as "amazing" as other pipes, but i have had 2 now, and not a spec of rust or corosion anyone. It is still as shiny as the day i got it. It is still as shiny as the day i got it.the mya purge is ultimately flawed. due to the design and physics (aka air pressure) you cannot fully purge. also after years of use, the common chamber (which in my pipe was literally impossible to clean) gets saturated in oily residue which doesn't wash off. it may not show a spec of rust of corosion but theres plenty of crap inside the common chamber
EternalSoil
sounds like you want something new and are trying to make excuses as to why to buy one.hell your hookah is 4 years old!treat yourself to a new one!
austinthecity
try to get a small flathead screwdriver and use it as a lever to get your purge ball out. Then use an airsoft BB. if you do get a new hookah, use an airsoft BB so that it won't rust.
MechAnt
SS egyptians are MZ's. I'm not sure if they were 4 years ago but they might of been! Goes to show you how godly MZ's are . Even Mush's regular smoke isa few years old and is an MZ (Their old Hookah Brothers line). Like previously mentioned, if your pipe is clean, no leaks, setup correctly, there really isn't too much difference between say a KM, MZ or MYA. Just MYA doesn't purge well but there is an easy fix involving a straw. Plus, if you allow the smoke to get stale you deserve it!
DRainh2o
I would say it is an upgrade more in looks than functionality!
Codename067
According to how my Hookah hits, anything I buy will be considered a 'down-grade'I honestly can not see how a Hookah can hit more than how mine already does. It just can't seem to go through my head.
