Hooray, Got A New Hose!

Recommended Posts

So i was in need of a new hose because the one that came with my hookah was super narrow and was very hard to pull from. But I was looking at the Cobra hose and was ready to throw in 20 dollars since my research on online dealers was at that. So i walk into my usual place where I buy tobbaco and to my surprise they where 10 bucks each and the Nammoon hose they had was only 17 bucks. So i picked up my cobra hose and here are some pics.

Cant wait to try it out but unfortunetly i have a strep throat (infected) so i gota wait and finish my antibiotics.

not to bash your new hose; it looks great...

but you should have gone with the nammor. it will pull so much easier, and the cobra will rust in about 3 months.

there are some things you can do to prevent it from rusting so fast and keeping the flavor from sticking in it:
don't wash it
don't get it near water
disconnect it when you're done using the hookah, and blow the smoke out of it

I already go about those steps with even my cheapo hose.

Honestly, I think people have become a little too militant in their support of the Nammor/Razan. I have a Razan and think it smokes better than my Mya washable, but the difference isn’t extremely pronounced. Plus, it looks as though his cobra is rather wide and shouldn’t restrict airflow. With good care non-washable hoses can last quite a while. For half the price of a razan it appears to be quite a good hose. Edited by John Stuart Mill

I have a hose that I assume is Mya (came with my Bambino) and non-washable, at least I think. What is good care for a non-washable hose?

I just blow through the hose well when you are finished using it and keep them away from water. About all you can do. Edited by waterboi

It’s certainly my favorite hose, but keep in mind I only had standard Egyptian and mya hoses prior. I think people exaggerate the increase in smoke density. I have noticed a better pull, but my smoke doesn’t seem any thicker. Large gage hoses of any variety would smoke the same. For instance, I’ve heard KM hoses smoke extremely well. The only real difference is the wash ability, which you certainly pay for.

ah i get it, ok so it makes sense that it wouldnt incrase the amount of smoke becuase the wider the hole the faster your lungs fill to the top but you can get the same results with taking a longer slower hit from a regular hose.

I love cobras they are beautiful and I have 2. Mine just went to shit quickly, though I know it was my fault, because they were the first hoses with my first hookah so I didn't know what to do. I have a Razan and Nammor now just because I was afraid to get another non-washable. Nice hose though, enjoy!
