Well, it came in today and I have already smoked two bowls out of it. I will post a review in the review section later. Anyway I just wanted to post a few pics of it and show it off.Heres me gettin it out of the box, its like freakin Christmas:Heres a shot of just the base:A little more detail, the base is a beautiful amber color with very nice gold painting:Heres the whole hookah:Heres one of the heart showing a little of the purge and hose portsHeres a shot of the chiller full of ice:Close up of the hose end:Me takin the first hit of this bad boy:First hints of smoke:My girl takin the second hit:I love this thing so far. I dont have anypics of it smokin real hard cause we decided to move it outside so pics of smoke were not really possible. SimplexCoda Posted March 14, 2008 Author Share Posted March 14, 2008 Well I called to ask if they had the red base with the man smoking on it, they were out but they told me about this base and then i checked the website and it was a color option, but about 20 minutes after i ordered it i looked again and it was no longer a color option. On the base I can feel the edges of the paint and am worried that it might chip and wondering what I could use to keep it from doin such that wouldnt make it all crappy. Alle Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 Some varnishes and laquer might dissolve the paint. See if you can find a spray on clear coat, and hit it with 3 or 4 coats of it. Make sure to mask off the top of the base, otherwise it might end up tasteing like crap. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bassman65 Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) I actually did some research *on how to preserve my base as well. The answer I came out with is clear acrylic spray. Acrylic paint is waterproof, and a bunch of thin coats should give it a nice, protective layer. I just got some today. The only thing I'm worried about is whether it'll change how the base looks.
