Very nice choice. Very nice.

Tell me, where did you get that hose from? I am almost sure it came with the Argeeleh...it is so damn lovely sleep.gif

That Argeeleh has Tradition all over it man..the base, hose, stem ingravings...it is beautiful. Edited by Codename067

Very nice. I'm assuming you bought all the pieces at the same time so let me ask you: how's the hose perform? That's a really nice looking hose and if it is wide enough and smokes well then I'd like to know where you bought it.

If this hookah were a woman, I'd hit it.
Don't get me wrong, I'd still hit it. Just not in the same way...

Amazing base.

Congrats on your newest addition to the family. The amber color is awesome and the hose looks really awesome. That's a unique piece.

So I tried out that acrylic coat. I wouldn't recommend it. It basically changes the texture of the glass a bit, so its much more matte now than shiney. You can't notice it really, except when you feel the base or actually inspect it. The coat wasn't that thick, so it wont help with major chips (like something scratching up against the base), but it'll definitely make the paint last forever in washings (its water resistant). Overall, I'm a little pissed, just cause its not what I expected, but in reality, its no big deal.

That sucks. I try not to wash the out side of the base though cause of that. I always dump out the water after every bowl but when I rinse it out I put the neck under the faucet and then start the water so that it doesnt mess with the outside though.

Its ok. I perferr ice in the base but of course that will be colder. But last night I put ice and salt in the chiller and ice in the base. It was super freakin cold.

sounds pretty freakin awesome. ive been thinking of investing in one myself. ive heard that it makes the smoke even smoother than smooth. silk like. better than silk, ive heard that it makes it go down like the drink.

the reason it's dull is because of "orange peel"...look at the clear coat and compare it to an orange's skin...it'll look the same. you can get rid of it by adding coats and wetsanding if you want it to be shiny again, or you can polish it half way, spray another coat and have a duller luster.

ok, painting rant over, and back on to the topic...that's a beautiful pipe dude...just absolutely gorgeous
. glad to hear it hits like a champ too.

Do you think the painted pattern will be safe if I were to wetsand it? Maybe a really low grit? Thanks! I'm really happy to know I'll be able to get the glossy finish back.

well, with only a very thin coat of paint on it'd be pretty easy to sand through, but it can still be done. just start with some pretty high grit paper(600+ wet/dry), work slowly and progress up in grit till you've got yourself the shine you want. i'd really recommend doing 2 things first...add a second coat, and get a scrap piece of glass, put 2 coats on, and try your hand at wet sanding first.

you can look online and find a bunch of tutorials for getting rid of orange peel with a lot better tips than i can give...i'm used to working on flat wood surfaces, not really glass.
