juice
Quick and easy question: What is the purpose of removing stems from shisha before smoking?
Cybersist
it is just impurities within the tobacco leaves, i really dont see a major difference in smoking and i only pick out large stems
Ghetto Byrd
I rid it of the stems just in case
bassman65
Stems are supposed to burn faster and taste harsher I think.
abeezstg
Yeah, what i've hard is that they burn faster. And another thing is, they take up room for the tobbaco to be haha. I usually just take em out if there bigger and really noticable
Scoop
stems are good. they create airflow.stems require more heat to actually burn. but you dont really burn any of the tobacco anyhow. (at least you shouldn't be)
Codename067
I remove the larger ones, and keep the rest in there.
iamscott06
Starbuzz has lots of stems.. Its to much of a pain to pick each one out, I do what Codename said, only the large ones.

dank7oo
Is it possible that they could affect taste .. or smeel of the smoke?
Voski
What I have heard is that stems will give you more of a buzz. I don't think its true though because starbuzz is loaded with stems and it gives me no buzz.
chinamon
ive tried picking out stems and noticed no difference with the smoke so i dont bother taking them out any more.
RayVer
This doesnt apply to starbuzz because the entire tobacco is washed with their line.QUOTE (voski @ Mar 18 2008, 10:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>What I have heard is that stems will give you more of a buzz. AKammenzind
Stems smoke and taste fine. Period. I've never noticed any difference in smoke at all, except that when there are a lot of stems I get more buzz.
sheeshabum
I have never tasted a difference in taking them out or keeping them in. The DID sit in the glycerine and soak up some taste. To save space in packing the bowl, I usually take them out, but when I use (often) my "Giant Party Bowl" which holds 50-60 grams, I don't.
Johnny_D
I paid for 'em. I'm smoking 'em.and i can't ever say i've come across anything big enough to get my panties in a bunch over. Cut 'em up and smoke 'em.JD

Rani
QUOTE (voski @ Mar 18 2008, 07:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>What I have heard is that stems will give you more of a buzz. I don't think its true though because starbuzz is loaded with stems and it gives me no buzz. It's like this from what the experts tell me..... More of the nicotine resides in the stems so yes, cutting up the stems will give you a stronger buzz. But that having been said, if it's washed tobacco a great portion of the nicotine is pulled from the stems as well as the leaves and washed away. So no buzz. paiintballa182
the stems are boiled as well, so their subjected to the same reduction on nicotine as the leaves
