How Important Is The "buzz" To You In Your Hookah Tobacco?

Recommended Posts

Everyone smokes their favorite shisha for different reasons; some love the taste, some love the buzz and others are just in love with their brand.
Personally, I love the taste. I enjoy tasting all the different fruits and then mixing them with other flavors to see what happens.
As for buzz, I like a moderate amount, if there's too much my head starts spinning.
What do you prefer in your shisha- taste, buzz, a combination of both?

I hate Buzz.

And it's probably one of the factors that enable people to mistake hookah for what it really is.
What's the point in getting buzzed? I prefer Hookah with a book or a good film and to relax. Not feel like my head is going to burst.

Just my 2p's worth

Buzz is a no no for me.

For me, hookah is more of a social enjoyable time. If its just me its for relaxation. The buzz just interrupts things and makes my head pound. I prefer thick smoke, great taste, but not too much to where it tickles my throat. I am picky. I know.

Hey, you gotta smoke how you gotta smoke!

i like the flavor too!!

occasionally i like a little more kick than the relaxation i normally get so ill throw in some f-line.

but my tastes have actually gotten narrower rather that broader.

i used to like the really sweet flavors and stuff, now they kinda make me sick.

This could be considered a noob statement but I love getting a buzz, not a huge one but just enough that you feel light headed for a min or two when you are sitting and then again for a few min when you stand up, but more importantly than buzz it has to be lots of flavor. The buzz just helps me relax when sitting I can just put my head back and close my eyes and listen to music which is normally for the first 10 mins of my session, after that nice thick clouds of flavorful smoke and lots of fun conversation.

I really don't mind the buzz, but then again i'm never disappointed if I don't get one, it's all about the flavor. Alot of times when I smoke with friends i'll have a beer or a crown and coke in my other hand anways.

I love hookah, but I hate the buzz... That's why the batch of Tangiers Cocoa is still unopened in my stash.
BTW how do you build buzz tolerance? I smoked up to three bowls of different tobaccos including Nakhla a day but still get a buzz from AF and SB sometimes.

i love the buzz, dont get me wrong, i enjoy being calmed down without me having to do it myself, especialy after a hard day, but i can drink a beer or some scotch for that.

the flavor is the big deal, thats why i love pharoahs brand so much. the flavor is perfect for me.

i enjoy the buzz, but its not the iggest selling point

I enjoy buzz as well but it is not the most important thing when smoking hookah tobacco.

When I was planning out my tobacco review system it became clear to me the buzz shouldn't be part of the rating score. A brand with good flavor and no buzz should not get a lower score than a brand with good flavor and buzz. Thats why I have a buzz factor indicator along with each review.

I enjoy the buzz when I'm smoking alone. Usually when I smoke with a large group of people I put in something with little or no buzz.

It's all in the flavour, buzz is not at all important... for that matter, given a choice I would select a brand with lower/no buzz. Most of the time a buzz is followed by feeling like your head is melting.

I smoke Tangiers 95% of the time for the great taste and a little buzz. I find it relaxing to smoke as long as the flavor is good and it lasts. Flavor is most important to me, and Tangiers is good for a little relaxation 'buzz' too.

I like a buzz but it isn't neccessary. As long as I don't get the buzz to the point where i get dizzy then im happy.
