"Substances that are illegal in the United States" implies substances that are banned by federal law, no? If this is not what the mods intended, the rules should be revised to be more specific. In any case... I guess I could see why someone would try mixing this "NHT" with their shisha -- supposedly, when mixed like that it can give a mild buzz different from the type of effect you'd get if you used it on its own. I wouldn't do it though, and I don't agree with what has been said about this "NHT" being relatively safe and paranoia-free. It has nothing to do with being irresponsible -- it can affect different people in different ways and can sometimes be very extreme and uncontrollable. I won't touch the stuff myself, but I've been a sitter for others using it and have seen what it can do. I apologize for discussing this taboo subject, but I do so to suggest that it doesn't really belong in the "chill" realm of hookah and to discourage its recreational use. It is also completely legal to grow, own, sell, or trade as a plant, but if used as a food or drug would fall under FDA regulation to which it has none, therefore making it illegal to sell or trade in that manner.
