mushrat
Poor fit. The ball may be slighly too small for the hole. Can you drum up a larger bearing? (easier than shrinking the hole i figger)
bigmahlman
not shure i will check at the tool stoor sometime soon. hopfully they will have them, it cant get much bigger, it seems to just got in slightly too far.
mushrat
If the hole is just slightly too big, the ball will jam itself in... People have used air soft pellets to replace lost balls, you may try one of those.
Sonthert
Beer/Vodka work well for cleaning. I never recommend using soaps because some of them have bleach in and have it hidden in the ingredients as something else. Bleach and glycerine form Chlorine gas which combines with water to make Hydrogen Chloride and combines with another water to make Hydrochloric Acid. Detergents may also have bleach in. Water isn't enough with some flavors (vanilla, cherry, mint citrus flavors, off the top of my head). Rubbing alcohol works too, but should be used when ample time is available to make sure it evaporates. Beer and vodka wash away easily and really cut flavors down. Just poor some into a cup and dip your cleaning brush in it.

philly28blunt
hey im having trouble becoming a member on this site for some reason, just wont let me and its pissing me off...but i need some help please.. i used to by tobacco here in toronto but it ran me like 40 for 250g's n i went to washington this week n got a few packs for 10 each for 250g's which was really good. the problem is when i looked at the tobacco it felt alot more moist so i tried it out n it didnt burn well ( i used some japanese coals i havent tried before). so today i heated it in teh microwave for like 30seconds to dry it up but still didnt do too much. then i got a bit dessperate and put the coal directly ontop of the tobacco in the bowl and there was alot more smoke, like usually. the prolbem is the flavour was jeapordized a bit. i was wondering if i could get some hints form people on how to make this better...i also tried wrapping the coal in tinfoal and putting it ontop but that still produced less smoke than with the tobacco i used to use. thanks.
mushrat
you're a member..the forum is just a bit quirky and you have to log in 2 or 3 times now and then I'd say since it is moister than you are used to its going to take a LOT more heat than you are used to. Set it up like you would your normal smoke, then add an extra half again as many pieces of charcaol. So if you use one coal, break a second one in half and add one of the halves. Try that. If you don't get decent smoke then, add the other half and try it with 2 ...keep trying until you get decent smoke. Some folks will break up 2 coals and position 3 halves around the edges of their bowls for good even heat distribution. Some ma'asells (tobaccos) take a LOT more heat than others. What brand did you end up getting in washington?
