So I looked down the BOTTOM of the stem and you can see a orange color, and that is where it is a little gritty. I have a hose I can use at home, but I don't think it will completely fix it. Because when I smoked out of the hose port It still had the taste. I let the stem and all of the seals(which smell the worst) soak in lemon/viniger over night. So I will check it out tonight. burton_o6 Posted March 26, 2008 Author Share Posted March 26, 2008 (edited) Alright, after about 10 hours of the stem,seals, and hoses soaking in viniger/lemon juice, the smell is going away. I smoked using a homade hose and it was noticably better. So tomorrow or thursday I will go and by new hoses and smoke a few bowls and see how it is. Thanks again for all the help.EDIT: I bought a new hose today, and my roomate and I both thought it was alot better than our other hoses. It wan't 100% yet but it's alot better than it was last week thats for sure. Thanks for all the help. Oh and I also bought some spearmint shisha to mask the taste in the stem, will this help any?
