Ratman12304
I'm looking at buying a new hookah and I've been browsing through social smoke and found that they have a line of Orbit Hookah's. They're a bit more expensive than other rotating hookah's i've seen, does anyone know why? Has anyone had any expirience with these hookahs? Any other suggestions as far as quality rotating hookahs go? I'm looking for a single hose that'll smoke like a charm.
mushrat
Keep in mind that rotators have more moving parts and that means more can and will go wrong. $.
Ratman12304
Yes, I know there is more that can go wrong, but its a chance I'm willing to take. In saying that, has anyone had any expirience with Social Smoke's own line of hookahs? But on the flip side, if I were to just go with a non-rotator, is the a general consensus as to a certain hookah or style that is gernerally better than others? Soup
Many people favour the Stargate hookah from Taqseem. I have not had an encounter with one of them but I am quite intregued by their style and by how they perform, as stated by owners.
Lakemonster
I dont know about the rotators from Social are like......... I do have a very nice Syrian from Social. I think Ioannisds (I hope I spelled that right) made a comparison post of his egyptian stems from both Social and another source. I can say this as I have seen it for myself... I have seen examples of egyptian rotators at the local headshop that were ordered from hookahwholsalerS.com. The finish on them was poor.... the hose connections on the top side all showed serious grinding marks (or from sander). The big rotaors are just that..... big... sure like how they look in general. One girl I talked to that has a rotator was saying that the top and bottom grommet deal can be a bitch..... I'm assuming she was refering to leakeage.... didnt ask. Social Smoke
Not to contradict what others have said about rotating hookahs, because both Lakemonster and Mushrat have valid points. Many rotating hookahs are poor quality, poorly crafted, wobble excessively, and their seals can be a pain to line up correctly, etc... Simply put that description does not fit our Orbit hookahs. If you were to look at the build quality and shine on any of our Orbit Rotating Hookahs you may have noticed that they look familiar to the old Hookah Bros rotating hookahs which were hands down the best of their kind. After the demise of Hookah Bros, we partnered up with the manufacturer that used to make Hookah Bros stems and rotating hookahs, effectively bringing the highest quality Egyptian hookahs back to the American market. These hookahs spin as close to perfect that a 100% hand made hookah can spin, shine beautifully, are easy to disassemble, and smoke great. If Ratman12304 or anyone else on the forum is in the market for a Rotating hookah, feel free to purchase any one of our Orbit or Egyptian Rotating hookahs risk free. If you are not completely satisfied, you may return it for a 100% refund and we’ll even pay for shipping back. The only condition that I ask is that you fully inspect the hookah prior to using it, as we can not accept a used hookah for a refund. Please note: The current pictures we have for our Egyptian Rotating hookahs and our Traditional Egyptian Hookahs have not been updated recently to show our new models. Any questions, please let us know. Ali N. Social Smoke Hookahs 1-800-507-0399

HookahDuck
a buddy of mine has a rotating hookah. He purchased it from a local smoke shop.... and the thing is terrible. Condensation from the base made its way into the rotator, and rusted the bearings.... I assume it isnt a good idea to put ice the base because of this?
