bloodlandmney
This is my first post. So the other day we were smoking hookah at the beach when i ran out of coals. We had a fire going with some oak wood that my friend cut down, we looked at the bottom of the fire and there were some nice and toasty coals at the bottom of the fire. We just grabbed two and placed them on the top of the bowl and smoked away. I noticed no altering taste to it at all. Just wondering if this is healthy for you or am i going to die? paiintballa182
Going to die? No. However it is generally a bad idea to use any coals other than ones made for smoking shisha, as they may release unsafe amounts of Co2 and other noxious fumes into your body. antouwan
during the summertime whenever we would go out to the country, we would always use coals from the fire to put on top the baccy

Twang
You are fine. IMO it is safer than quicklights. In fact, that is what they did when I was at a Qatari's beach camp in Doha, Qatar. Not sure what type of wood it was though.I've also done it a few times when smoking by the fire at a friends lake house. Never had any problems. Hookah_Bob3
It's perfectly fine. There are some woods that are not okay to smoke (cedar maybe?) but oak should be fine
Bushbr
are you going to die?Yes........well hey its the truth u are going to die somedaybut what baffles me is people who are smoking are wondering about the HEALTH RISKS of smoking some different way......just kinda odd to me
paiintballa182
well, if the health risks are less severe, why not implement those tactics?
