SimplexCoda
So I dont know how many of you guys have MacBooks or Macbook Pros, but, even though I am a huge Apple fanboy, I am very dissappointed with their MagSafe Power Adapter. I have had it replaced several times and they still keep burning out at the laptop connector. I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with this. thecoalition
Hmm havent seen that happen with too many of those. Perhaps its the power source you plug it into the majority of the time? I.E. its getting too much over voltage? Personally I use a monster power strip with a power inverter for all the basic stuff and for my desktop setup a UPS. Voski
I wanted to get a macbook pro really bad but I just cant drop $3000+ that easily. I heard about the problem with the mag safe though sucks that they still haven't fixed it.

When unplugging the magsafe from the computer do you grab the plastic connecting it to the computer or do you pull on the cord?Mike
SimplexCoda
Its not the transformer that burns out its the chord next to the plastic thing that connects to the comupter and I always pull on the plastic not the chord.
Jeff_T
Have a 15" Macbook Pro, got it in June and completely in love with it. No problems or quarrels with it. Only downside is with software, I use excel A LOT and have found some problems with it not in windowz office.

I have had mine for over a year now, I bought it the week the 17in hit the market. The only problem I had was the exploding battery First week of school this year lol. If the adapter keeps frying, its their problem just say when you call it was an elecrical hazard and you were scared it was either going to shock you or cause a fire. They wont mess around with that comment since they would like not to be sued.By the way this should not be abused. You should only use a hazard comment if something from them is damaged and it is their job to replace it.Mike
