kimcd
its the chamber of this Nargilem brand hookah a NP-450. The brand is highly regarded it seems in europe and specially in Germany. Whats wrong with a common chamber? I really cant see any disadvantages to it. It s not like a huge difference in mechanics is it? I mean a Mz also has a chamber albeit differently constructed, not to mention a lot harder to clean and susceptible to rust cuz all the creaveces(spellin?) The downside to the Nargilem brand seems to me is their high price (due to production being done in Europe from what ive heard) their somewhat lame MYAsque appearance that is a little to scaled down for my taste and their dimunitive size. The pictured hookah is 48 cm (meaning 19 inches).

Scoop
here is my hookah, there is no common chamber.i used blue to show you the 3 ways that air can flow. 1 is from the bowl down the stem, the other one is through the purge, and the last is up to the hose.there is no common chamber in the actual hookah where air can gather and sit. kimcd
to be honest i ve just owned a turkish hookah. very traditional and it didnt have a purge valve so if the common chamber is just something that efects purging i just dont care if it works or not. i may have had to it use it if it existed maybe 5 or 10 times. I got the hookah around 2002 btw. Seems so much easier to keep the hookah in top shape with the common chamber. Cleaning it and avoiding rust.
