SimplexCoda
You think you could find a cheap pre-amp to plug your mic into before your computer? Or maybe a new sound card.
thecoalition
replacing the soundcard in a lappy is over priced and not worth it.if you are looking to use the jank for things like voip or what not i say go with a creative card that you can just plug into your pcmcia or pc xpress slot.better product. better pizza. better ingredients. papa johns. .cOLt.45.
i was wondering if a USB mic would fix it
sensae
A USB microphone would most likely fix it, as USB sound devices are standards-compliant and are technically their own sound cards. (I don't believe they're hardware-accelerated, but you get good sound out of them nonetheless)
