Fun With Numbers

Interesting.

I was thinking someone should measure how much tobacco there actually is in 250g or 50g containers. But I have no scale at my house. Maybe I'll sneak some baccy into my lab and use an analytical scale for +-.00001g accuracy!

i am wondering..as I am just starting to sell(oh yeah, by the way, I feel I might have fixed the problem of shipping)---YEAH!!!!!
but when I was just buying, I found that most were accurate in price..do you all feel that most companies don't weigh out correctly..
the only recent and I do stress recent shisha I bought(pharoah's) was 28 grams inside of the container when it was sold as 40 grams..do you all find this with other brands?
if so..so amazed by this..I can say Zona is weighed out correctly...

Please do..maybe it might have dried out a bit during shipping but my weight should be on...either way..the drying issue is hopefully over(fingers crossed)
oh yeah..thanks for everyone's help on this issue..
enjoy

We actually should measure if you ask me. How are we supposed to know we haven't been getting ripped of for so long? Plus measuring in grams is sort of a misrepresentation but I'm not sure how else we can measure. 250g in no way represents the actual amount of tobacco. Some brands have a lot of stems or are "wetter" which means they will weigh more but have less tobacco leaves.

It would be interesting to see if any companies are including the weight of the containers when they say 250g.

They never claim to be 250g's of tobacco mind you, its always worded as Shisha.

Ill be weighing everything soon enough

Good point about the wording, it essentially means that they should be giving weight of the shisha then and not of the tobacco

Which means everything that is inside the plastic bags should equate to about what it says on the container. 28g of shisha when it says 40 is unacceptable. 35g or so out of 40g is where I would draw the line.

I'm actually excited to see what numbers you get. I think that there will be a handful companies that will need to do some explaining. Because more then once have I gone "How did I pack 90% of that 50g box into my small phunnel bowl?"
