Aquadog
My friend dropped and broke the base of my hookah, so it's time to find a new one. I'm new here, but this seemed like the place to ask.I have had this one for the past couple years - a simple 28" or 30. While this got the job done, it was a fairly cheap with junky materials and over time the metal began to rust, it would no longer seal properly, etc etc. I'd like a hookah that will last me a while, function really well (meaning airtight seals, parts don't need to be replaced often, easy to clean), similar size, and will give me a great and clean smoke. I was thinking at this point that a double hose would be nice for when friends come over (the other hole can be stopped up for smaller groups and function the same as a single hose hookah, correct)Does anyone have a good hookah for me to look at? I have a few bowl pieces left over lying around for an egyptian style, so that would probably be my choice unless there is a reason for me to choose otherwise. Also, information on what sites I should buy it would be great as well. Thehookah.com seemed pretty good with the shipping prices and a college discount, but I can't say I know much about where to shop. I'm looking to spend around $100 or under, but could spend a bit more if it is really worth it (remember, I'm a semi-poor college student!)Thanks everyone Edited April 1, 2008 by Aquadog

paiintballa182
No problem! I suggest a KM, preferably a tri metal or mashal. Both can be found at www.hookahcompany.com, dont forget to use the discount!Im a fan of traditional style pipes, thus i like the look and feel of a KM.If your looking for something a tad cheaper or more modern, go for a MYA, they come in all shapes and sizes, and are nice pipes aswell. Voski
I can't say anything for multi hose non MYA hookahs. But every multi hose MYA I have used has been great. They can be disassembled and put in a box if that happens to be a concern of yours. Plus if something breaks you can just get a replacement. www.worldhookah.comwww.hookahcompany.comwww.mnhookah.com
Jeff_T
If you're looking for something traditional and want to spend less than that on a KM look at an MZ. I believe Nazar and hookahcompany have them. There are a few members here with them and say they are just as good as a KM. On that note, I've not personally used an MZ, but completely adore my KM pear. So I'd recommend a KM as well... paiintballa182
Km's are only available in single hose, and you dead set on multi hose? The hookah you posted is very nice, but imo a tad expensive
Johnny_D
If dropping is a problem it might be worth considering a mya acrylic ?From what I've seen of them they are good hookah's all round... might worth a lookJD

Are the Km's that significantly better to warrant going for a single hose?Upon further research, it looks like I'll be going for this one if I buy a two hose:http://www.hookahcompany.com/shiva_stainle...h_2526_prd1.htmDoes this seem like a good deal, or will I get a hookah that is considerably better if I just go for a single hose KM or MZ (those MZ's do look quite nice for the price)?
