AKammenzind
QUOTE (mushrat @ Apr 3 2008, 02:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>QUOTE (AKammenzind @ Apr 3 2008, 01:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Man, sorry to hear you guys are havin problems! We sealed all the samples well in mini-ziplocs, but it is quite possible that some came open during shipping. As for not having enough shisha... each sample was roughly 20 grams, though could be slightly less now than when we sent them if some of the juices leaked. We're poor college students, not a corporation, and can't really afford to send out a ton for free . I don't know how you guys could be packing that it isn't nearly enough to smoke, but I typically use 15-20 grams for an hour-hour and a half session and it suits me just fine. Again, they're samples... and free ones at that. Please get back to us after you smoke it, we're curious to see how the flavor is after shipping, hopefully it's as strong as when the shisha left but one never knows.ya, double bagging is a must for samples. learned that the hard way... Well, live and learn eh? We've already looked into other packaging, and next time we send samples out (which should be in the pretty near future) we'll definitely triple-bag everything and put it in a box or jar. A learning experience, and a work in progress. Thanks for the input guys!
Stuie
Now I am worried!Maybe mine will show up today, and we will see!
mjdx88
I think for about 2 bucks maybe 3 they sell glade disposeable containers in 8 packs they hold a bit more than 50 grams but seal great, like water tight. The only downside is that you will need to ship them cuz cant send them as letters.BTW i cant wait for mine to come in Im sure I will prolly have the same issue. Also just an idea I dont know how anyone else feels about this but I wouldnt mind sending a a dollar or two, to you guys for the samples so its not all out of pocket. Stuie
QUOTE (*HOT&SMOKING* @ Apr 3 2008, 01:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Is that just becuase the shipping gets a bit rough, and one bag is prone to open or what????Those little baggies probably get popped open by the letter sorting machine. If it was placed in say a bubble mailer envelope, it probabaly been alright.
Voski
That sucks major balls. Pretty sure it just popped when it was getting sorted =(

questions
Hey all..as I learned two weeks ago..samples and mail are not the best method..ups under a pound is cheaper than the usps and better as you can box themof course as I know now, jars are the only safe way to go...still..free is free..enjoy if you got it.
leadpipecinch21
got the sample in, and unfortunately it's like everyone elses. some of the tobacco is still there, enough to fill up half a mya standard bowl. smells good, but unfortunately it's pretty much dry. i'm gonna toss a coal on and smoke it up and see how it tastes, and i'll send you guys a mini review about what i've got. paiintballa182
pizzelle is supposed to be mini pretzel right?
thecoalition
its not usps' fault. its the packer's fault. there is alway risk involving mail. hence why you insure things or pack them a certain way when you ship them.

We figured it was worth a shot, now we know better . Next stuff we ship out will be triple-wrapped, boxed, then shipped in a box via UPS.
Webbles
I had the exact same problems. Infact, Shifty's pics look EXACTLY like how i got my package, excpet i ws able to salvage some of the shisha.See THIS thread for pics.It does smell great though. So i will be adding some glycerin to the shisha and giving it a test with what i have here. I have a small MN glass funnel bowl that should be able to get this workin. I hope.Nothing against LOVE shisha of course.
MechAnt
Whenever I send out shisha in small quantities what I do is put the shisha in a big piece of seran wrap and then seal it up so no side is too thin and then throw it into a ziplock. Works beautifully!
mjdx88
I got my sample today, smells great, but also I had the same issue like most of the other guys although this isnt too bad, couldnt read the letter but all the shisha is there and it really smells great. I'll be smoking this weekend and putting a review on it. Thanks guys, better luck with shipping next time.Mike

Two main types, the anisey kind, and the vanilla kind. We kinda went down the middle and had a bit of anice and vanilla (though the vanilla doesn't taste so much as add a bit of smoothness, before we added it the taste was a bit too licoricey)BTW, thanks for the info about shipping/packaging guys, much appreciated! The Devils Playground
Dude we ship over 250 FOTM a month. We never get that. I am shocked someone would be that Ghetto to not use a padded envelope so it cant go though the machine. We use the paddeds just because of that reason right there. We just wanted to try sending out a few little tastes before we sent out actual packaged samples (which we couldn't send yet due to a lack of packaging). Anyhow, as I've said before we'll be sending out a few boxed samples as soon as we get more supplies in. We've got a bunch of stuff coming in to make and package more shisha, and will probably get moving on that sometime this weekend.Damn am I hung over...
