seefoodlover
I'm wondering what the nicotine percentages are on various brands of shisha. I am looking for the lowest amount of Nicotine in a shisha, besides, Soex. I am mainly interested in, Layalina, Al Fakher, Tangiers, Starbuzz, Al Amir, Mouj Al Bahr, and Nakhla. Thnx for your help! Starbuzz and Fusion are both .05%, but with Fusion make sure you're getting the one in the tin. The older boxes that are still available are a full 3% unwashed tobacco.'Rani

Deathwish238
So then why is it that I usually get a buzz from Tangiers but not from Romman which apparently has a higher nicotine %? That doesn't make sense...
r1v3th3ad
guess it depends on previous sessions and packjobs, as well as heatfrom what I've read, it takes more heat to get Tangiers going right, but not so much for Romman...could be the higher temperature combustion rate? Sonthert
You have to assume (wrongly, perhaps) that all manufacturers are honest and correct in their numbers for nicotine. For instance, Tangiers at .3-.4% seems much stronger to me than Nahkla or Layalina which are both listed at .5%. Nahkla seems also much stronger than Layalina. Nahkla "Al Basha" is listed as .05% as is Starbuzz , but Al Basha seems much stronger to me...the only explanation is that the numbers are largely inconsistent or wrong, assuming my perceptions are correct, that is. Bulldog_916
They might have to post .5% as the maximum percentage of nicotine that you will get in a container. If it is under that amount, they put .5% as a standard. If it's .05% then anything below that fits that standard. I think that's a pattern among shisha makers is that they strive to keep it below that percentage. Once they do, their job is done.

Reyomit
well, think of a percent as being one part in a hundred, so, for example, .5% would equate to one part in two hundred.so take however many grams you have, divide it by 200, and that is amount of nicotine (grams)1 grams tobacco, .005 grams nicotine10 grams tobacco, .05 grams nicotine20 grams tobacco, .1 grams nicotine250 grams tobacco , 1.25 grams nicotine
