Pink Lemonade

so the first time i had the pink lemonade it was excellent. now when i smoke it it tastes really chemically. i got the 200 g tub and smoked it today and it tasted horrible. i put it in my phunnel with 2 3k lites and after like 4 min it was barely smokeable when i took the foil off barely any of it was burned i dunno what to do... wonderin if anyone else had this issue..??

usual drill coals red hot and ashed all over? does the tub smell funny? try cleaing your hookah and give it another shot. whilst cleaning your hookah, open the box/tub the shisha came in, stir the shisha very well, let it sit in the open air for a few hours, stir again. i did that with my wild mango and it tasted much sweeter.

edit: did it taste burnt? could be too much heat, try cutting down on the coals, like 2 coals. if its not enough add a windcover and see how it goes. good luck! Edited April 5, 2008 by mathuv

Mat's right. It's more likely the coal I would suggest.

2 3kings on one funnel will depend on the funnel size. A Small I would use 3 1/2's [1 and 1/2 coal] broken up. Not whole. Too much heat in one place.

Try cutting them in two and placing around the bowl as well.

Yes. Same for me also. After about 30 minutes the exhale taste is just horrid and I have set it up many ways and same thing. It is not the coals, I know what I am doing, it is just a bad flavor. Bubba had the same exact problems too. It tastes very chemically like you said and it tasted like plastic to me. That is why I sold it. Yucky stuff. Mine was the same way I did not burn the tobacco and it was the worst experience to date for me.

My batch is amazing. Smokes forever and tastes just like pink lemonade. Maybe there are bad batches out there?

I use a medium phunnel with a stick of exoticas broken into 1/3's and put them right on the edge of the bowl forming a triangle. Edited April 5, 2008 by mattarios2

I Counter this - Mine was a fine taste - if rather sweet. Lasted a good hour, but after that It was too much for my personal palate.

It is not only me. I can smoke Fantasia Mon Cherry np in a phunnel bowl. Pink Lemonade just sux thats all. There must be some bad batches out there. I tried a 50 gram and a 200 gram tub, both no good.

Might be Snoopy. Not had enough of it to say really. It's a bugger if there are bad batches. But with something like pink lemonade I am going to guess that it's a love it or hat it scenario?

I couldn't take it after an hour - but i wouldn't say it was bad exactly. But I can see how people would think it's chemically. Some of the sweeter flavours tend to sometimes have that affect.

That could be because I only smoke Tangiers. Everything else just does not taste any good anymore. Tangiers FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had issues with bad aftertastes, and it came down to a combination of a dirty hookah and too much heat. Try decreasing the heat to see if that helps? I'm still a neophyte to the hookah world, so I can only speak from my own experiences.

Granted, I've never smoked pink lemonade, so it could very well be that flavor.

I think there might be something to this. When I smoked the first bowl it was amazing non stop flavor and smoke, then I went to smoke the rest a few days later it sucked, just tasted horrible. I have said this before and I will say it again and again. Not every flavor is going to please every person. Not defending it, not bashing it. Its like anything else. If you like it order it. If you hate it you just saved some money if you got it first on FOTM.

I went to their factory/ wharehouse and they hand make this stuff cure it in 40K tubs etc... BUt then again like I said like it buy it hate it don`t buy it.

I personally liked many of their flavors even though I am dedicated to Mintos.

I like Mintos and buy it. lol

But hey this is what they want. Honest opinions. If they read this I am sure they will look further in to it. They are good people that want nothing more then to make money,,,, I mean make happy customers, so they can make money. lol

They do read the boards and they do take the imput they read on the forums I direct them to for advice/ critcisim. So post your thoughts as with each flavor as you get them. And if you are not on fotm go to my section get my email address and get on there. It may just save you a few bucks.

Use it as a mixer. It should be fine and the pink lemonade taste will still come through lovely. I tried it straight up but it wasnt anywhere near as good as a mixer. Probably 25% to 75% anything fruity would be just fine. Try it with the blue mist. Let us know how it goes! Edited April 6, 2008 by DrShisha

im not saying anything bad about them. i got the flavor in the FOTM and i fell in love with it. but when i got the 200g and smoked from that it wasn't as great and burned ubber fast. i was jus wondering if it was just me. i love fantasia, im not bashing them just wondering if I'm packin the bowl wrong or doing something wrong on my part to make the sessions so bad.
