I did like a 10 page research paper on hookah last year, Ill PM it to you and you can use whatever you want from it

EDIT: Hmm, there seems to be no way to attach the document through PM. If you just give me your e-mail address I can e-mail it to you Edited by jordanneff

Well you say you want to know how it works well in case you don't know and just to help either way:

By having an air tight chamber ( the base) and having multiple accces "valves" ( hose ,stem, purge valve) you are able to get a hookah working. The hookah works when you suck on the pipe , which inturn sucks air out of the base and creates a low pressure. To even out the pressure, new air has to be brought from somewhere, and thus is brought from the stem which leads to the bowl. So by sucking on the pipe smoke is pulled from the bowl, due to the low pressure in the base, so that the pressure can be evened out.

Just what I have learned and I thought I would write up for you...

I hear that in some countries they behead students for using wikipedia as a source. Definitely a cultural aspect that we should incorporate into the West, imo.

tongue.gif High school isn't academia, it's orientation for the labour work force.

I didn't even bother wasting time on research in high school, I just made shit up, googled the topic, and sourced everything to obscure-but-prestigious sounding primary sources. Reverse plagiarism ftw.

Well, 1) anyone can edit the information, and the vast majority of people on the internet are idiots, so you often find inaccurate information presented as fact, and 2) the majority of information is entered by governments, companies and corporations, so you usually get information that is not only inaccurate, but heavily skewed and biased.

QUOTE (Hookah Health Risks)
Some research has suggested that the use of the hookah may have less comparative cancer risks, though such studies are not conclusive (Hoffman[22], Rakower, Salem 1983 and 90, Gupta Dheeraj 2001, Tandon 1995, Lubin 1992, Hazelton 2001, Stirling 1979). The levels of carbon monoxide produced during a hookah session varies widely depending on the type of coal used. Japanese charcoals are thought to produce lower amounts of carbon monoxide. However there is a notable difference in areas of carbon monoxide absorption, in that while cigarettes have a notable effect on the small respiratory tracts rather, shisha smoking mostly affects the major airways (Bakir 1991, Kiter). This means a lessened FEV vs FEV1/FVC ratio compared to cigarettes, which is believed to be less harmful for the airways long-term though it may lead to general horsiness.
