s_smith001
I read this on MN Hookah: "MYA Hoses are made of the highest quality leather, they are uniquely designed with an interior stainless steel casing to make them more durable and to protect the hose from wear and tear that is caused from repetitive use. All MYA Hoses are washable."so does that mean i can wash any of my MYA hoses and they'll be alright?-Steve

I NEVER WASHED IT. I just made a hose though, only cost me 6 bucks. Go to home depot, get some vinyl tubing and just put it right on the mouthpiece of the mya hose (take the hose apart first). Youll get thicker smoke and no crappy taste. Plus you can wash it forever.
Johnny_D
It would appear that they are not washable. Although MYA Advertise and market them as washableSo this is an issue with MYA Rather than the vendors.JD
Bushbr
Follow up question:I'm interested in buying a bambino soon, since Nammors and Razzans, i hear, don't really work too well with bambinos, what are some good quality washable hoses that i could buy that would work with a bambino? gaia.plateau
Check out some of the make-your-own-hose threads, Bush. I recommend just doing that.Bear in mind that I almost always use my Bambino with a nammor hose, which is like 3-5 times a week, you just have to be extra careful. gaia.plateau
Leather hoses are generally not washable, because they tend to have a metal coil inside.Just take some traditional hose handles, use pvc or vinyl tubing, and cover it with a traditional hose cover. gaia.plateau
Yeah, just suck through it, and if it tastes like shit, there's likely rust.

MechAnt
They are washable if you are able to dry out the inside of the hoses. Generally a blow through them and hanging it up is perfectly fine but ideally, an air compressor and blowing a bunch of air though it is the only fail safe way. waterboi
I have never washed my MYAs do to the fact that I hear alot of peoples rust. I blow through them when I am finished and then hang them up. Bushbr, I also use my Nammor and razan with my Bambino. As Gaia said, just be careful.

I mean, technically anything is washable... shisha, coals, etc. Some things just get ruined when they're washed. But yeah. Don't wash it.
The Devils Playground
Any hose can be washed with care. But Mya makes a washable hose. It has Plactise ends not wood. The regualr ones can be washed but water and wood are not a great combination. Get the washable Myas if you want Mya washable to be safe.

I'm afraid that it has succummed to rust. Used it daily for about 6 months - washed two with air blown throw to dry it immedately afterwards.Allways hung up after a session. The only truly washable are make-your-own or nammor/razzan. But both these are too stiff and unyielding for my liking.I have a washable hose from the uk that appears to have galvanized steel ring inside. When i accidently pulled the end off I could clearly see inside that it was exposed steel, yet unrusted. Time will tell JD
great1
Hey Johnny, been a while since I've posted here!I'm interested in getting a washable hose, I'd like to know where abouts you got yours from (website/shop)I didn't know you couldn't/shouldn't wash the MYA leather hoses, but I have done a few times...I think I've royally f*cked them up. . The past 3 months however, I have been doing nothing to them other than blowing really hard into them. So far so good, but I still tend to get bits come out when smoking.Any recommendations for a plastic washable hose available in the UK (pref London) would be great! Or alternatively if I could somehow recover the hose....ThanksTake care

paiintballa182
Well, the bits are usually a sign of rust, and if you did indeed wash the leather ones, I'm afraid you might be beat on that subject. You can buy a nammor/razan or even a washable mya from worldhookah, I know he has good experience with shipping to JD
