Tobacco For Homemade Shisha

I am wanting to try and make some shisha myself and i was wondering were i could get the tobacco from. I have everything else and the instructions i'm just mising some good tobacco if you know of any place i could get some i would appreciate the help. thanks

I THINK you can just get some unflavored bags of tobacco at your local smoke shop.

you can use something like this http://hookahcompany.com/arab_persian_tombeik_2659_prd1.htm also known as brick tobacco. Just wash it, cut it, and etc

ya, pipe tobacco works fine to make some...also could order some off the web. I know a site, but I won't post it because they sell legal NHT and I don't want to get hit with a ban

CVS, Walgreens, etc.....thats cheap stuff, Captian Black, American Sprits both good choices. Also a local smoke shop will have pipe tobacco ask about the different flavors of tobacco they have, so you have an idea of what your getting and what flavors you should mix it with. Like cherry pipe tobacco would go great with a vanilla flavor.

From everything I've read on the subject (havent tried it myself) you'll want the mildest tobacco possible. The regular pipe tobacco may be too harsh.

Let us know which recipe you tried, alot of them end up making a real mess.

I have some cured leaf I got from a friend. The olnly problem is that it is a VERY strong variety of tobacco. All I ask is a sample of whatever you make in return.

i've taken grape swisher tabacco, washed it, mixed it with honey and let it sit for a few hours.
packed my tripple bowl, two with the swisher and one with half peach shisa (dont remember what kind) and half swisher.
smoked smoothly and tastefully for an hour or so.
Nice, but wierd honey and grape taste. overpowered peach entirely.

i can get a pretty substantial amount of tobacco leaf. i live in kentucky and there are about 10 tobacco warehouses in the city i live in plus i know at least twenty people who grow. most farmers will just sell damaged or broken leaves outright they only put the best out for auction. i was wondering about getting some and making shisha later this year but i'm not sure how to wash it because i'm pretty sure they use pesticides plus the soil is almost always fertilized with anhydrous ammonia.

Hey if you can get some pricing details on that, IE $ per lb, let me know because I'm looking to buy some bulk tobacco as long as it's good stuff. Broken leaves are no big deal because they'd get cut regardless, but pesticides can just be washed.

i'll have to wait until they start growing, i have a cousin who grows about 25 acres and i've used some of his tobacco to roll cigars before i knew what shisha was. i usually help him hang the tobacco in his barn every year thats usually the only time i see him so i'll ask, won't be until july or august though depending on climate and rain so expect a pm in about 3 months or so.
