Wooden Shaft Hookah Info

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I just bought my first hookah. It was quite the spontaneous buy, and when I had arrived home after inspection I found that the shaft is wooden on the inside. I don't know much about hookahs, but most of the hookahs I have seen have a steel shaft so they are easier to clean. I am debating whether or not I should exchange it for another one. It is beautiful, but Im wondering if it's worth keeping. If anyone has any experience or information that they could lend, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Well, thats a very traditional hookah, probably of eastern aisan descent. The wood shaft is a very old style, as is almost everything on that hookah.

How much did you pay/where did you pick it up?

I picked it up from the eye of horus in Sydney. It was 55. I have a feeling it was overpriced. I am considering exchanging it if the guy lets me. Edited by Lday
