thebastard
I've always stuck with quick lighting coal cos I remember reading somewhere that using natural coals give off alot of carbon monoxide...? How comes some of you guys use naturals? Is what I said true compared to quicklighting? Thanks
HookahCulture
Some quicklites can be good like the Greek and Dutch ones. STEER CLEAR of the Syrian ones, they have the minarettes on the box. Everyone has their preferences, I use finger coals. Diamante when I can get them, but Nour is OK. WITH ALL COALS, be sure that they are totally red for a few minutes before putting them on your hookah! If they are still black, you get a bad taste! You'll smell them as they're heating up, but not so much later on. Also, avoid BBQ coals. Red hot coals from your campfire are good to use as well especially conifer woods. Donkeema
rid, you should get some japanese coals from zam zam near green street, they sell the 3 kings charcoal there aswell and on the floor you'll see a box of TORCH COAL buy that its 1.50 for 10 but last alot longer ... its silver so it looks kind off weird but thats what makes it light up quicker.
