Want That Thick Smoke. Experienced Smoker Wanting To Catch Up And Try New Brands.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Im an experienced Hookah/Shisha Smoker. Been smoking it since 15, thats almost 10 years.
Ive had many different hookah's and shisha flavours and even sold al fakher for awhile.
But My fave hookah is this 19' hookah I have, nothing beats it and has lasted me like 8 years. It use to give an amazingly thick smoke and nice flavour with Al Fakher. But after all these years its starting to fade and no matter how much I clean it, its not the same and the bowl has been changed alot.

Anyway, I bought 2 new hookahs from a year ago and there both big and small and both arent geat.
Can someone recommend a good hookah kit, with the box that will give me a thick thick smoke.

I live in England, but will order from the states or anywhere.

Anything from 18' - 26' and whats a good list of all the best equipment you can get for a hookah. Things have really gotten perfected with hookahs and shisha. I bought a diffuser and it worked great.

Also, what are Starbuzz and fantasia like compared to Al Fakher. Fantasia has all these new flavours. Im looking for nice flavour but most importantly that thick smoke and anythng that will help me get that.

Thanks guys and hope you lot can help me out.
Gonna post this on hookahdomain forums too. didnt know all these sites and forums existed for hookah.

well since youre in the UK, try shisha-world.com its a german site so shipping would be cheaper. or else try worldhookah.com or mnhookah.com they will both treat you very well. since you're experienced, i would say go for a KM. be sure to get a washable Nammor hose and some quality shisha, like tangiers. if you go for tangiers, get yourself a phunnel bowl. try some natural coal or japanese quicklights. if you want coconut coals, id suggest shisha-world.com as they carry the TOM coconut coals which apparantley are excellent. happy hunting!

My personal favourites are Tangiers and AF, I find that they give the most flavour and thickness.

Tangiers will give you the best flavour, but it takes some practice to get it working perfectly. It also has a very high nicotine content. I generally smoke Tangy when I'm alone, and AF when I'm with friends.

Not a fan of Fantasia. Edited by gaia.plateau

Well as everyone is saying KMs and MZs are popular lately and have had very good reviews. Also it seems everyone is going nuts about razan and namoor hoses, personally I don't see the big fuss but that's just me. MYA brand hookahs are usually reliable and give good smoke, a lot of hookah bars have MYAs so that typically a good route to go.

As for Starbuzz, it's premium shisha but quite pricey. People will tell you a million different things but for smoke thickness AF gets going pretty good, although I've produced massive clouds with just nahkla too, it's almost all about heat management, the more heat the more smoke, just be careful not to burn it and you can get good thick smoke from almost any brand.

Thanks

Wheres a good place to get KM or MZ hookahs? Especailly for UK delivery?
So whats best for getting heat and managing it?
What I normally do is light 2 coals. Im still using the normal silver basic quick light pack coals which have worked well in the past. I have used natural coals aswell as japanese quick lite. I start them off, then put them facing each other so they heat up faster. then once its nice and red/white I put them on the head.
But Lately I notice as soon as i put the coals on, the bottom turns grey/black till I suck...
Whats the best hole solution also?

Thanks

jap quick lights work good the best way is to use 3 small squares in a triangle shape. i use about 50-60 safety pin sized holes poking all the way down when i use my mya bowl and 2 rings of holes one almost on the rim of the bowl and one about 5mm closer to the hole in the middle when i use my phunnel

Well I know JD is in love with MNH, and they're a good company and he said he's never had shipping problems from them so for shipping to the UK that's the way to go, only thing is Im not sure if they carry any KMs or MZs

As far as what I do for heat management, when using 33mm quicklights I light 2, and at the beginning keep them as far from each other as possible, maybe a tad hanging over the edge, then for the first 10 minutes of smoking I move them a small bit around every 2-3 minutes, by that time it should be producing thick clouds, when they get smaller I ash them and then put them closer together in the center, and about 10-15 minutes later I'll start lighting another to get ready to put on.

That's just what works for me. Im not familiar with the japanese quick lights so I couldnt tell ya how to go with those, but I typically use 33mm 3 Kings Edited by jordanneff

You guys are the connoisseur of hookah and shisha, glads there ppl out there who really want the best and try anything for it.
Im trying to get a hookah base big enough to fit ice cubes in it to.
As Im at work, Ill wait till I get home and have a proper read and look for what to buy. Someone said somewhere with phunnel heads, you cant get as thick of a smoke.
