jerrysalem
Did anyone notice I've been off the boards for a few months (probably not!)...Anyway, new baby, he's 3 months old now, and very cute First month was hell, no joy that I expected just constant work around him. Now he's getting aware and sleeping more, and is, well, really cute!Did Erica have her baby yet? I would think so by now.Anyway...boss's rules...no smoking anywhere in the house anymore because of the baby. Too cold to sit outside on the balcony lest I get a cold and pass it on to the baby. What happens in your house? Surely many of you have faced this devilish problem. Did you resolve this and if so how? I live in Europe, four seasons, soon I hope I can go back outside and enjoy again. Johnny_D
I use vent extraction to smoke hookah indoorsWhen they were babies I used to smoke outside or not at all. It's not worth the risk JD

ganesha
We smoke in the house right now because it is so cold out still. When it warms up it will be on our patio... We always send the kids into another room because I don't want them to get second hand smoke. Something interesting happened this week though. We were smoking in the livingroom and right after we finished the hour and a half session, our CO2 detector started to go off. We called the fire department to come out to check things and they tested around where we were smoking and there was a high level of CO2...So at their suggestion, we now smoke with the windows open so we get a good air flow. Majid
Congratulations! Love and enjoy eachother in good health. Well for me, i had my cousins stay at my place for three months and stopped smoking alltogether. Since smoking in another room is tough, you won't be able to keep an eye on the kids if the door is closed.

Although I do think having to leave the entire house is a little much. Closing yourself up in a room with some ventilation so it doesn't linger is certainly wise. As far as illness goes..... Sorry but the little monsters are disease carriers. You will find yourself getting sick all the time when before you probably rarely did. Just the nature of having children out and about and picking up every bug under the sun. Ask any long time parent..... On the other hand, hey, 18 or so years from now you'll be healthy again. And can smoke anywhere anytime in your own house.'Rani

jerrysalem
Well lol long time since my last post, but THANKS EVERYONE for your comments, and well taken!!!Just an FYI...my wife who is a great great mom...and who is fanatic about no smoking hookahs in the house with the now 10 month old baby (he is so cute... go to youtube and look for 'matt the plumber', really it's worth it even if you don't like babies that much), still is cool away from home.We were in Istanbul for a few days, and the two days we got babysitting we went to a hookah bar where she-who rarely smokes with me at home-smoked some nice mint.We got babysitting the other day and went to a nice Prague cajovna (tea room) and both of us shared a nice pipe. I do bring my own when we go out, and I offered our waiter some of our Starbuzz mint and he commented happy later 'very nice' If anyone likes Al Fakhir and is ever in Dubai, WAIT UNTIL YOU GET TO THE AIRPORT TO BUY... Al Fakhir was 16 AED which is about 5 bucks for 250 grams of Al Fakhir mint in the big duty free area, it's in the middle and nice hookahs complete were like 30 bucks! I agree on the hookah bars, no one makes it as good as we do at home...
