RayVer
I've heard of people using a gun cleaning brush before but not a gun cleaning kit.. what does a gun cleaning kit consist of?
Kathrynx
When I looked at gun cleaning kits, the pipe-cleaners that came with it were too small...in width and length.

RayVer
you know whats my best brush? A $1 hard bristle brush I got at the local flea market. Its the perfect size and length. The medal rod is also real strong. For deep cleaning I run this brush and then I use the "canon brush" afterwards
DyrtJones
as far as gun cleaning kits go, i have several.a standard universal gun cleaning kit usually comes with some kind of rod that can be taken down, usually its about three or four pieces, and a variety of brushes for different calibers and gauges. now i use mine...so they're all black and brown and covered in good ol' gun cleaning chemicals and burnt gunpowder so i never really considered using one...but if i WERE to use one i would probably use...a 30 or a 410 brush.oh and they also come with these weird looking cotton things to run through your barrel after the brush and cloth.or you could just make your own hookah brush
alphalux
Thanks for the tip! I lost my brush during my last move. This will keep me clean until I order another.
