Bigger Hookah= ???

Recommended Posts

I bought a small and pretty crappy hookah a month(maybe longer)
ago.  Its only around 18 inches tall.  And after the uses and
washings the metal parts (coal dish, other metal fixtures) are feeling
loose.  LAtely i havent been getting VERY good smokes.  I
think its due to my packing techniques, but also probably the
airtightness, the grommets are crappy.  I think i'm going to get a
bigger and better one for like 70 bux.  Is there an advantage to a
bigger hookah?  thoughts and comments please.

Hmm... They look better IMO. I cant notice a huge difference in my small egyptian than my stargate.

If you have a cheap hookah that doesnt seal well however- you can get a
much better experiance from a different hookah if it is built of high
quality.

Some people argue that a longer stem allows a denser smoke charge,
because it condenses more as it moves away from its heat source. After
you hit the 20" mark or so though, it doesnt seem to have a huge impact.

If you like a hookah? Buy it! Just make sure you buy from a reputable
dealer and it isnt "too good to be true" like a lot of Ebay hookah's

a larger hookah definetly does look outstanding and looks over the
crowd below it but the actual smoke, well it doesent make to much off a
difference.

you may have to draw a little more for the same amount of smoke but you
wont realise your doing it. i personally love large ones in comparison
to small ones.

still at the end of the day its personal prefrecence. Big or Small??

I have a question.  I soak my hookah in water sometimes for an
hour or less to clean it (soak, swab, dry) will this cause the hookah
to fall apart at some parts.  Also, the rubber grommets dont seem
to be making a good seal; they seem really "dry".  is there a way
to "rehydrate" the grommets?

the brittle grommet is the hose grommet  the base grommet is black
and crappy looking but its not brittle.  And i was thinking
silicone too, but i dont want to spray silicone near something im
inhaling from.  Silicone spray can be kinda poisonous.
