i would say 2 and if its not enough then 3.

keep them kinda off the side a little so not too much heat goes directly on it.

also, like i said a hotplate wont light them. if you have a coil burner you should be fine. otherwise mr. bernzomatic is your friend!

i bought a coil burner, but its not coming till weds, so im jsut going to put them in heavy duty tones over a gas stove

Well i meant to put a windcover on earlier but i am still getting smoke, its not really thick but it is still smoking.

So if i had put the windcover on they would probably have lasted a little shorter but with thicker smoke...

i'v been smokin for 14 years buddy. if i have time for natural coals il use them. but 3k has always been the fastest route. no added chemical taste or anything if you ignite them off the bowl you should be fine. Anything that you have a hit and miss shot such as exoticas. and golden japs im sorry still waitin to see what is so great out them they jus taste like shit. 3k is simple and consistant. thanks

when its a part of ur culture its pretty common to kno how to pack a bowl.. its not a big deal in our culture in other places kids start drinkin at this age so nothin to be too surprised about.

no no i wasn't allowed to do the whole session. id take a few drags i couldn't handle it they used to smoke the strong ass tobacco where you put the coals directly on the tobacco. its like sneaking sips of wine at the dinner table. than you can handle a whole glass after some time.

well were on this subject, i actually orderd a couple of boxes of cocos and there comming tommorow! i was wondering if you gusy could give me some tips. Im using a mod bowl, which is very wide but somewhat shallow and AF mint, how many coco's should i put on at a time? i was thinking 2 and rotate the corners but i hear some people saying 3? any expert opinions?

3 will definitely be overdoing it.

For a mod bowl, properly set up, I use two at opposite sides, wind cover when they're halfway done, then add two more at the other sides when those are gone. 4 CNs should be precisely enough to fully expend a properly packed mod bowl.

one thing i did notice is that you have to be a little gentile with them when you pick them up cause they can crumble a bit.

That's weird, I've never experienced CNs crumbling at all - were these the ones lit by torch?

just got my coconaras today and right now i'm on my third bowl using them i started with fantasia pink lemonade, then fantasia blueberry, and now another bowl of pink lemonade. after using romman naturals, 3k and golden quicklites and then using coco's i will never again use quicklites unless i'm at a party and smoking aw grape which is my party flavor. but the coals hardly ash at all the ash sort of flakes off but its not sandy ash like romman or 3k. and it lasts forever compared to both. i love them this is going to be my main coal from now on. and i know a lot of people say the campfire smell when you light them kind of turns them off. but thats crazy cause campfires are freaking awesome and the smell doesn't carry over to the taste.

Its just on the corners and stuff not like they break in half... if they rub on the hotplate cause its kinda bumpy they can kinda crumble on the corners, its almost nothing though...

ive never had coconaras i have al awa'el coconut charcoal that comes in sticks like the jap coals and break off in pieces of 4 they're better than exoticas i think hookahcompany sent me them
