Fantasia Shisha, Medium Phunnel, And Exotica Coals

Anyone else use this combination and realize that they have to use an entire stick b/c the Fantasia is so wet? Or am I doing something wrong? Most say to use 2 1/3 pieces or even 2 1/4 pieces. I seem to need an entire stick broken in 1/3's. And I make sure to get the entire coal bright red before using.

Since i've gotten the medium phunnel I have only used Fantasia so I can't rule that is in fact the wetness of the tobacco.

You would all agree that w/ a dryer tobacco 2 1/3 pieces would be sufficient on a med. phunnel yes?

Any comments?

i don`t use exoticas but fantasia does need more heat than other brands due to its wetness.

I know a lot of people think the scalli mod makes a negligible difference, but you could try something to that extent.

I was thinking a steel washer sitting on top and/or underneath the shisha might be a good addition for the phunnel to disperse the heat.

I've been thinking about getting one, i just may. either way i think its safe to assume fantasia takes alot of het to get it smoking properly

No matter what I tried I couldn't get good flavor out of Fantasia..... So if you come up with a way to consistently get it to smoke well, clue me in because anything that smells so good shouldn't smoke so bad.

hey man i know what you mean i have a small funnel and i packed some candy cane fantasia.....AMAZING....but i used QL's and i just put 2 on there and just rotated them 360 degrees around the whole 2 hours we smoked....worked really good...oh course i used 4 coals 2 per hour...but yea thats how i did it and it was awesome



oh and i didnt use a mod in my funnel...im sure ill smoke my funnel again this thursday so ill throw some pics up but everyone was getting sick clouds and great buzz/flavor the whole 2 hours so Edited April 13, 2008 by Nikon1323

I've never found this the case! I have found, though, that fantasia can withstand a lot of heat. A good general rule is, if you want more clouds, add more heat!

That's the thing.... Clouds were easily the equal of Starbuzz, but non-existant flavor. And I refuse to just assume it's a bad brand/flavor. My entire office was smelling of it when the unopened box arrived so it's got to be something it needs that I'm not doing.

you could try leaving the container open and letting it dry out a bit. i had some af watermellon that was really wet and i couldnt get to smoke worth a crap so i let it set out for about 34 hours and it smokes great now i made sure i mixed it about every 12 hours so it would dry evenly

on a medium phunnel with fantasia packed, i use 3 1/4 size pieces of exotica coals. works perfectly. i position them in a triangular shape on top, and just shuffle them around every so often.
