Shisha Storage Containers?

Recommended Posts

What do you guys use to store shisha? I'm currently using these gladware dealies:

they're okay, but it seems like they might be drying out my shisha, even when properly stored. Is this an issue for anyone else, or am I just losing it?

i think ES uses gladware.. and yes, i've noticed that shisha becomes drier when stored in a container, the juices spread round the container instead of staying in the shisha, usually i just stir alot before packing a bowl.

those are kind of cheap and not exactly air tight. If you want a better quality storage container, get the lock-n-lock containers from wal mart.

also, make sure you stir up the shisha before every bowl you pack with a knife or something

Yeah I always stir it up before I use it. I'll look into getting these, are they a lot more expensive than the gladwares?

no the lock-n-lock aren't too expensive. They're a couple bucks a piece (I think) if you get the size that holds 250g real good. I forget what size that is exactly but you can pretty much use your good judgment to figure that out.

thats exactly what i use...

keeps my tangiers just fine!!

the juices do spread out a little but a little quick mix before you load a bowl fixes it all up.

they do appear dry on the top if its a 250g pack cause of the size of the containers.

i will have to get a bigger tuperware thing when i get my kilo of K-Peach in

i went to a container store and bought about 12 air tight sealed jars, they perfectly fit 250 bags, and have a really nice look to them. I also like it because it has a really really tight seal so it keeps it fresh and the juices go to the bottom which make it nice and easy to mix tongue.gif

  • 1 month later...
Sorry to bump up my old ass thread, but I finally took yeshua's advice and got a Lock & Lock container.

BEST. CONTAINER. EVAR!!!!!

I have some Al Waha Apricot in it, I can't even smell it when I try and take a whiff right up against it. I also recently discovered that my Ghaleb's Lemonade is incredibly dry now (well, more so than it should be) and I suspect it's because it has been in my gladware for the past couple of months. Even better was that I found the small lock & lock for a freakin dollar at Kmart!! It fits 250g perfectly.

Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know. Continue with your posting Hookah.gif Hookah.gif biggrin.gif

I use lock and Lock and mason jars. If lock and lock containers are not availible then I get mason jars. I'm going to have to check K-mart for lock and lock after your said they have them. I get the sandwich size one. Fits 250g perfect

What I generally do is use the Lock and Lock on flavors that I'm going to use over and over again. Where as the Mason Jars I will use if the flavors are strong or may not buy another batch of the flavor.

Yep, +1 for gladware!! Works great w/ Tangiers

But with good tubs like Pharaohs and Fantasia, I throw the shisha in zip-loc bags and then put the bag inside the tub. Works like a charm! Edited by bjelder

Heh, I just confirmed that right now. I can sorta smell the apricot now, it's been roughly a week or so since I've put it in there. Still better than my gladware though - sometimes I would get a whiff of it while it was stashed away under my bed.
