taste

Recommended Posts

i braught a nargila over this summer from vecation. I tried
it once in back there and it had a pretty good taste but when i braught to
canada it had horrible taste kind of burned even tho i use 2 layers of
tin foil. I know that STAR is a good company for coals but in canada i
never saw STAR all the coals or either ronald or three kings and they
take pretty long to light up compare to STAR. also i baught just
recently a new nargila it didnt have that of a bad taste but it didnt
have good taste either. if any 1 could help me or give me suggestions
about anything i would be glad, thx.

If you live in Toronto and think i could come over with my nargila tell me

I don't really see a need for two layers of foil. It seems as if two
layers would do nothing more then insulate the bowl and give you crappy
heat managment, as in get your ma'assel to the point of burning. Try
using just one layer of foil.

If that doesn't work and you are still burning your ma'assel, try taking some heat off...

Most people will agree that 3Kings work pretty well. Don't attempt to
start smoking until you get the 3Kings disc completly hot, or else you
might get some unwanted flavors from the lighting agent used on quick
lighting coals.

I've never used STAR brand of coals before, but does it really matter
if a 3Kings coal doesn't light up as fast as a STAR? They're
quicklights for christ sake....Guess you could use the stove or buy a
propane torch.

Finally with no disrespect intended, you should really think about
trying to work on your grammar. I found it pretty hard to read your
post, but managed to get the just of it. But I don't know if english is
your first language, if so god help us. If not, then I definately
understand that it can be hard to get your point across ;)

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask away. Hookah isn't
rocket science, it just takes time to get the hang of it. There's a lot
of guess and testing that you need to go through in order to master it.
Good luck :)

First, English is my third languege.
Thank you for the help. Trust me STAR is the best coal out there i know
that from experience and i lived in Israel. waht do you mean by 3Kings
disc completly hot?
Some people tell me that i have to smoke my nargila for a little longer
for it to get used to the flavour. and some people say that if you
smoke only 1 flavour its better for the nargila. 2 Layers of tin foil
helps the tobacco not to burn that quickly, my friend in Israel uses 2
layers and he has amazing taste.
do you use 2 coals per head? like finish up a coal and then light up another one and put on the other side?
Also what do u mean taking some heat off? how do i do that?

I would go down to 1 layer of foil, and try a differnt coal. I got some stars and the difference in heat was like night and day. I found stars to alter the flavor a lot, to the point that no flavor was tasting the same. However, if you prefere the stars from experience with other brands, I won't argue with you likings.
