My final was around 56,000 and did not look at the fps. I have a Dell XPS 400 and I thought it was a good machine. I guess not, it is only 2 years old. I should test my new lappy.

So you averaged 56 FPS... it's not THAT bad. wink.gif

Curious about your lappy though!

should i get a better videocard and more ram?

currently i have geforce 7300 and 2 gigs of ram

What CPU do you have?

Re: your question... Well, does your box do what you need it to do well enough? If not, then it'd be time to upgrade. At least that's how I decide. happy.gif

Intel pentium 4 3.2 GHz
windos XP SP2
80 gigs of memory

Well, if it works for you, it's all good! The P4 is a bit long in the tooth... but don't listen to me. I'm one of those bleeding-edge types. smile.gif

If you were to update, best bet would be a Core 2 Duo to replace the P4... but you'd need a new motherboard because the socket types are different... the C2D uses Intel's latest LGA 775 socket. If you were a big gamer, I'd say it was worth it... but if you just make hookah videos, email, and post here, what you have now is more than adequate... wink.gif

Yeah, if you're going to game i'd at least upgrade the processor. But if you're going to do that, you'll probably be upgrading your motherboard, which might mean upgrading your RAM too xD

But yeah dude, that's only if you're into gaming =/

I'm running a core2quad. If only I could get this stupid MSI motherboard to overclock it properly =/

+1 indeed.

Bummer with the MSI/Core 2 Quad combo. I have the Q6600 and the eVGA 780i, running the CPU at 3.6Ghz. smile.gif

That help much? I haven't bother overclocking mine for fear of screwing something up. I'm running the same processor and board, though.

Sure does! Depends on the brand/kind of RAM too... if it can handle higher speeds. Here's a guide:

3.2Ghz is actually more stable than 3.6Ghz for me... but oh well! wink.gif

Ah nice... the Core 2 Duo is a damn nice chip! Hope my brother that works for AMD isn't reading this... huh.gif
