erufiku
Cool, but what makes it better than a 10$ one from Walmart?
Anxiety
hmmm to be honest i didn't know walmart sold them, some people say that "hotplates" (if thats what your talking about) don't give off enough heat to get natural coals lit up fully or fast enough, so that's why i personnaly went with this one

MechAnt
Coal replacement is what that wacky device was first thought up to be used as. As usual, it flopped miserably. Now they are advertising it as a coal heater.

Now they are advertising it as a coal heater.Yup. lolJust read the description."Simply plug in the highly portable charcoal heater into any standard electrical outlet, place it upside-down and put in a handful of natural burning Romman Lemonwood or Al Ajdad coals"hehe. For all of you with hot plate problems just do a little research before you buy.. Look up the wattage on it..Probably the best bang for your buck, cheap and powerful. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000690WN...me=&seller=12.95 for 1000w?Like this is 750w for $15... mushrat
You were supposed to control the heat on your bowl by adjusting the rhyostat knob for more or less heat. A few people way back when bought them and tried it...not so good.
