racemyghost Posted April 17, 2008 Share Posted April 17, 2008 if thats the case (where the grommet touches bottom of stem) then electric tape it everytime u wash it so water doesnt get in from there. But if there is water in there, it shouldnt affect your smoke because smoke is not getting in there. In my case, the oxidation was in the stem, where the smoke travels.
