Snoopy1966
He He..I know how to make it and I have the supplies. The hardest thing to get is the Kunafah pastry. I have to get it in Milwaukee or Chicago. If I watch the local food store we have it comes in once in a while, but we grab it all up right away. The Arabic sweet cheese inside, is like. OMG, this is the best thing I had in my whole mouth!! The trick is in making the syrup for it. With the Muslim population in the UK, I would not think it would be to hard to find there. I love Mahalabiah, which is rice pudding with milk and raisins and walnuts. Is the one you are talking about a rice based pudding?? Arabic sweets are the best in the whole world. Fatir is an awesome thin bread made in layers with butter and when it comes out of the oven you put some honey and thick cream on it. This stuff is so addicting, once you start eating you cant stop!! iron molly black
OK, now I'm craving the REAL turkish delight, I forget the arabic name now, my friend used to bring me from Egypt. The hand made stuff, not the crappy generic cubes they try to pass off here. Pistachio, rose, lemon, walnut, jasmine...yummy!
