nidal105
It depends on the brand, each one varies, but I have tried Nakhla Mint, and that was just a little bit mixed with double apple, and the mint tasted too powerful. I'd imagine that by itself it would be overbearing, and should probably only be used to mix with other flavours. Thats my opinion
aykay
yea, its Nakhla mint

MR Bubble
I'm scared of mint after my first experience with it. It was Nakhla and I never got to experience the smoke. I was coughing so violently from just trying to get it started, I threw it out before the first wisp of smoke started. And some people here smoke Nakhla mint straight. I respect that kind of toughness. MR Bubble
Sariél
I have tried AF Mint and Sultan Mint. The AF is a great mixer, add it for up to 50% to a lot of other flavours, especially lemon, cappucino, rose. The Sultan mint tastes like Vick's Vapor Rub and made my lungs bleed. OK, maybe not actual blood, but it sure felt like it. It did clear my sinuses (sini?), though.
Hexagon
Hmm I don't like mint tobacco
thebastard
Hey wots the big deal with smoking nakhla mint alone? I smoke it alone all the time, I love the powerful mint effect on my throat along with a light buzz at the same time! Amazing stuff...
Brad
I've smoked Nakhla and Al Fakher mint. I think the Nakhla tastes like spearmint (strong flavor) and the AF like those little red/white mints or candy canes (also a strong flavor). A friend of mine and I went through a mint phase and smoked through 250g of each brand. I'd chose it over 2x Apple, but that's because personally I don't like aniseed flavor. From my experience with large groups at parties, some love mint and some people can't stand it. It can be a bit harsh on your throat.
dizzing
hmm, i only had nahkla mint once, and i didn't mind it. it is, however, vastly different from any other ma'assel i've ever had. i'm really neither for it nor against it, although i could see how on a hot summer day the cooling nature of the smoke might be just the ticket
thebastard
a hot summers day? Nah, I usually have it in the winter when I've got a flu (practically all the time). It gives a nice buzz whilst having a much better effect on my nose & throat than any strepsils or lockets I've ever tried!
SmoochAHookah
Mint is usually too strong...not a big mint fan...it usually just detracts from the other flavors... be prepared to clean the heck out of your hookah too, it's got staying power... but it's good to clean your hookah anyway
aykay
thank guys, well i got the mint since i already smoked 1kg of double apple. i didnt find the mint harsh i actually found it pretty cool, it has nice cold minty taste in your throat. if you guys wanna stop getting head rushes you gotta start smoking more
jmexx
If you want your mint to taste a little more like trident or a smoother mint, you should chop up some mint leaves and mix it with your tobacco. Light that ish up and smoke it, you'll be a happy mint smoker!Jon
Bane
I've smoked mint straight up, boy that stuff'll clear the sinuses right up! Generally though, I just use mint for mixing with other flavors. Lemon+mint is one of my favorite mixes, and my friend likes peach mint a lot. Rose Mint is also good. You can pretty much mix mint with anything, so....I'd get it instead of the apple
gunsboy
Nakhla Mint has a good cooling feeling, but once you used it on your hookah then its taste will stcik even if you clean it, because it sticks to the hose and aftre washing I could still feel it with the Golden Apple AF for about 30 minutes into it. Thats why I would like to get another hookah because I want to soke things like Cola, Rose Mint and Lemon and Melon that leave a very strong after taste and not ruin a good old Double apple of AlFaker or Alamir more subttle ...
