Superchief Packing

Im gettin my first order of tangiers tomorrow and im obviously gonna smoke it after it acclimates. So I have a Superchief and no funnel. I can pack tangiers into just like if it were a funnel right?

Ehhh.... i guess you could.. it might work but not very well. The SC isn't as deep as the phunnel, and the molasses will run down the holes because the heat will cause it to lose some viscosity, therefore leaving you with a departing flavor.

I think if you use the aluminum holder from a tealight candle, you can make a Superchief to phunnel mod.

Without that, I'm sure you can just pack it in a circle, just not as deeply as a phunnel.

I smoke outof the SC all the time with tangiers. It works just the same. Pack it kinda tighter and put alot in there. Let us know how it goes!

So do you pack yours up to the top or do you pretty much just to the top of the center thingy?

pack it like a phunnel, leave the center open, thats how ray does it and it smokes fine

That would be my thought as well, pack it like the funnel only tighter and none covering the center. Same heat same everything concept.
