SimplexCoda
I just got my tangiers in and i can smell it through the plastic that it smells normal like the smell it should smell like. Does this mean that I do not need to acclimate? Where on the packing can I find out if at all? Ps. Im super excited i hope this lives up to what I hear. iamscott06
Even though the last couple I got in smelled great, I just let them sit out for 2-3 hours.. Not sure what anyone else is going to say but you could probably smoke it ASAP!! I need to get some more Orange Soda.. I think that was my first flavor of tang..edit: only one of my flavors didnt smell delicous out of the bag.. blueberry for some reason..

SimplexCoda
Ok i got 2 pics one of the front showin the flavors and one of the back because the packing has some color differences. I was wondering if that was an indication of if it was a batch that needed acclimation or not.Thats the front.Thats the back.Edit: Got all excited and forgot to put up pics. iamscott06
I think.. the ones one the outside are from the new batch.. Once you open them all up see if theres a difference in the cut.

MechAnt
It's better if you let it acclimate anyway.Nice order. I'm waiting on my Blueberry and Coconaras!
SimplexCoda
So appearently the writing lab over booked cause im sittin out side waitin for my appt and their all busy and now im prolly gonan fail my paper because of it. Anyway. On to the story of the day. Im thinkin im gonna let prolly the orange soda acclimate a few hours while Im at work tonight and get some glad containers or something and let the other stuff acclimate over night. Sound like a good plan? Anyway Im think as for the learning of the packing. I will try it the big boy way first then if I start and its not workin right immediatly stop and do it the n00b way. Of course pics of all this will happen as it goes and this will be updated with info on the fly. Keep lettin me know what you guys think.

Keep lettin me know what you guys think.its not that hard to pack i dont know what the big deal is.. when me and seanij received the blueberry from snoopy, we let it acclimate and sean packed it in the phunnel no problems, first try. i also packed it at home in my regular bowl.. smooth smoke, no tickle, good flavor. just drop it into the bowl until its full to the rim and foil.. simple as that. cymptom
Don't be discouraged if you don't like those flavors. You've got some of my least favorites lined up there.

I just did this with Orange Soda this morning, and it smoked great.

Snoopy1966
Yes it does look like the new tobacco by the packaging and how it looks. Put it in a container instead of putting it on foil. Smoke it up it is ready to go! Orange soda does not take long to acclimate . Just remember to pack the bowl dense but not tight to the top if you do not try the nOOb method. I am very confused by that.I mean the tobacco looks like it is a new batch from the packaging and the way the tobacco looks. When you pack the bowl just make sure the bowl is full and pack it down but not to hard and fill the bowl to the top, use big holes like a wooden meat skewer size. SimplexCoda
Ok so I packed up my tangiers orange soda afrer about 4 hours of acclimation. I packed it up in my superchief. Heres some picys. So far its not bad. Not harsh like people say. I tried adding another coal because the flavor was a little light. Then it got slightly harsh so i took it off. Then it still wasnt harsh, but the flavor was still a little light. So i think im close, i just have a little perfecting to do.Discuss you tangiers pros.
