I Just Got My Tangiers Out Of The Box.

Smoked some static starlight in the superchief, i only used 2 coconaros with the windcover and it lasted like 45 minutes, hit good for the first 25 id say. Im bout to smoke it again, this time 3 coals. Pics below

That is one odd wind cover.


When I smoke Tangiers I pack it down really hard. For coals I use two 1/4 Exoticas on each end and rotate it every 15-20 min

I smoked round 3 today and packed it a little more and a little tighter. i was a little more flavorful. Im thinkin im gonna keep tryin it and packing it a little denser everytime till i find the right density. I tryed the eind cover also, but to no avail. Since I dont smoke at a fast enough pace the coconaras dont always burn real good and i was sittin under the fan and it was keepin coals goin nice till i put the wind cover on. So Im gettin closer and colser by the bowl. My only complaint is that it still isnt as flavorfull as it seems it should be. This is deffenatly a hardcore smokers tobacco though. It will take some gettin used to.

Not enough holes. Anybody else remember Eric saying he pokes like 150 holes because he uses a fork? It's in a post somewhere in the past but the general rule for Tangiers is "poke big, poke many".

Pack it down hard till you can hear/see liquid. I've smoked a single bowl of Tangiers for 9 hours doing that Edited April 24, 2008 by Deathwish238

Smoked it again with 3 coals and it was fine, had to flip em over twice but it lasted an hour and a half easy.
