What To Add To Base?

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm new here. I heard you can add different stuff to the bowl. What are some good combinations of things I can add and what will it do? I heard juice and alcohol. What does that do? Also, any cool combinations with flavor and juice or anything would be helpful. Thanks!

I'm assuming you mean stuff you can add to the base right? Certain juices just go really well with certain flavors. Some people add a little it of milk to make smoke thicker. I heard of people adding vodka but have never try myself. I usually stick to good old cold water and crushed ice.

seriously....dry ice...

Man that's crazy, dude... dry ice is frozen CO2...not 100% sure...that could be freaking dangerous!

Carbon dioxide is perfectly safe to inhale. I used to have to deal with it every day when changing tanks for the fountain drink dispenser.

Items to put in the base:

Non-Alcoholic Beverages
Juices(especially concentrates that require adding water)
Tea
Non-caramel color sodas
Milk(use sparingly)

Alcoholic Beverages
Flavored vodka(UV Vanilla is excellent)
Flavored rum(Captain Morgan Passion Fruit)
Peppermint Schnapps
Avoid Whiskey, Brandy, and Tequilla(but that just applies to drinking in general)

Solids
Spices(cinnamon sticks, mint flakes, cane sugar)
Teabags

That should get your imagination going. Test everything in a cup of water before trying it in your bowl -- that should avoid a nasty clean-up.

Caugh drops. from 1 to 4, depending on how strong you want it.
adding several will make a menthol smoke. wink.gif
adding one or two will make the smoke seem cooler and easier on your throat.

anyone heard from him lately ? if not we know he got CO poisoning

CO and CO2 are completely different.

CO2 is Carbon Dioxide, meaning the molecules have one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms. we breathe it out and plants breathe it in. if we breathe it in, we just breathe it back out and continue on with our day. no big deal. in fact, when someone gives mouth to mouth to revive someone, they are blowing more carbon dioxide into the person's lungs than they are oxygen. CO2 is also found in carbonated beverages. so not only can you breate it and be fine, you can drink it, too wink.gif

CO is carbon monoxide, a deadly gas. it's molecules have one carbon atom, and only one oxygen atom. you'll find that from cigarettes, hookahs, forest fires, car exhausts, etc. bad stuff, man.

the difference between life and death, in this case, is one oxygen atom.

but you can get carbon monoxide poinsoning from the hookah if you smoke it too quickly. so yeah, i also hope he doens't have CO poisoning. because that sux.

I'd say there's about half a cubic foot of capacity in the average base.

That, plus the fact that he couldn't add more than the amount of a few ice cubes without the base shattering makes me think it could be done.

Sadly, the majority of the smoke will probably condense before it even reaches the hose.

okay, i will say this, don't take my word for it. clearly you could die from it.that is... if you never got any fresh air because you couldnt take your mouth away from the hose. secondly theres some wierd chemical reaction between alcohol and dry ice that makes the dry ice pick up an alcohol molecule during sublimation. you could end up drunk from it. perhaps you should just go with juice in the bottom.

i'm not dead
just don't do it. dont try it at home, dont try it anywhere! you could die!
