Trouble With Nakhla

So I used to smoke nakhla back in the day, decided to buy it again b/c i loved the buzz, but now i cant seem to get it smoking correctly. I used 3/4 of 1/4 exoticas, put them in a triangle shape, used foil hd reynolds, and lightly packed the bowl to the top and pushed down slightly, so it was barely touching the foil. It smoked but by no means were there any billowing clouds, I also got a buzz just not those huge clouds.

Any suggestions from nakhla champs? JD?

Do you still pack it like you used to? Same bowl?

You probably didn't use Exoticas, since they're fairly new. If you used to use quicklights, they burn hotter than naturals, so maybe more heat is required.

Usually I have 2 circular holes one on the outside and one inside of that then a big hole in the middle. They are pretty big holes, but not too many of them. Should I do more holes and smaller? w/ fantasia I do alot of small holes and works well, should I do the same w/ nakhla, what do you recommend? thanks

Try what you do with fantasia. 3 sets of rings toothpick sized works fine for me. Maybe try a windcover.

ahh im an idiot, should have done that, that worked, i did alot of small holes and it works much better now.

Smaller holes, lots of heat, and a lot of tobaccy. Not quite overpacked to a Tangiers level but Nakhla responds fine to touching the foil.

Yess, yess, thank you JD. This stuff is so much different and more authentic may I add compared to Fantasia. I forgot how authentic and more real the tobacco tastes. Very strong buzz, love it. Only downfall is it can come close to the duration of fantasia but not quite only b/c it is no where near as wet.
