dakingkevin23
You're probably burning the tobacco. Orange should be nice and refreshing, with a tarty kick to it.

I've never had to use more than 2 QLs. As far as the orange juice goes, it couldn't hurt, just make sure you clean out the base afterward. I could see that being a mess. Toxik916
You probably just have too much heat. Put your coals on the edges of the bowl and not in the middle. I use orange juice in the base all the time, it really enhances the orange flavor and cleaning the base isnt that bad either. I usually do 1 parts water 3 parts orange juice when I smoke Al Waha Orange Cream and that is usually my go to smoke.
Majid
I had the same problem with Nakhla orange..Though it was the dry tobacco but adding honey didn't help. Although Habibi orange didn't give me any trouble. Edited April 23, 2008 by Majid

Best smoked with less heat/coals.
Stuie
Definitely less heat. Adding OJ to the base gives a little enhancement put keep the majority of the base water, don't make it all OJ.

JillyIsJustKidding
Ugh stay away from AF Orange. For some reason, it is a VERY light flav and you have to TRY to taste something or else you wouldn't even know that you were smoking flavored shisha.Back on topic: Is the orange dry? Add some glycerin
thecoalition
add orange peels to the storage device for you orange shisha. it brings the flavor out more.
seefoodlover
Oh, I get it now that you bring it up! I'm stupid... Anyway, Soex orange tastes alright compared to others, Soex haters look away, it has a minty undertone to it that is really refreshing, but I find that the orange gets harsh easier than other flavors. r1v3th3ad
on the topic of adding the fruit peels and whatnot...Apple bowl tasted great, so I would imagine apple peels to anything, bet it would taste really good with AF Orange
